This stylish house is conveniently situated on the A352 which is the main access route to Wareham in the east and Dorchester in the west. Whichever direction you take the coast and an abundance of unspoilt countryside is never far away, making this an ideal property for those wishing to tour this unique county, with iconic landmarks such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove only minutes away. Just next door is a garage and well stocked farm shop for those essential supplies. If you’re feeling energetic, you will find this picturesque area has an abundance of pretty towns and villages, ideal for walking and cycling.

From the off-road parking area, accessed via the garage forecourt, a slope and set of steps lead you to the front door, where you are met by a spacious hallway leading to a twin bedroom, double doors open from this room onto a pretty veranda that wraps around the house. Further along the hallway is a cosy lounge with wood burner, TV and DVD, the ideal spot for relaxing after a day spent exploring. Opposite the lounge is a contemporary bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a WC. At the end of the hallway is a stylish kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. The dining area is bright and airy with double doors opening onto the garden. A staircase rises from the hallway and leads to two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite shower and WC (please note one en-suite has limited headroom).

Venturing outside you will find a large patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. Located directly outside the kitchen/diner, it’s the perfect spot for outdoor dining. A small lawn and veranda wraps around the property to the parking area, which will accommodate three cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely Location and plenty of places nearby to see and do. Not to far from Weymouth or Dorchester. Love the property and very well equipped kitchen. Being by a main road didnt affect us at all. Would definitely come back.

Need to stipulate before arrival that dogs CANNOT be left unattended or go upstairs. That said, this property was excellent and we would have no hesitation in booking a stay at a future date.

Yes the property is next to a road but the noise is almost non existent after 7, the property is fantastic and the location means everything you want to do is in easy reach, Dorset is very dog friendly!!! We will be booking again

The property was first class, very clean and cosy. There was everything you needed and more. There is a log burner if you wanted to use it with logs already there but its not necessary as the property is lovely and warm. We were very impressed how well the kitchen was equipped, we were surprised to find items such as tin foil, cling film, lots of condiments etc. Also available were all the cleaning products for washing up, the dish washer and washing machine. Just returned from our stay at the White House. What a beautiful house ! Everything was perfect . We know it has recently been refurbished and to very high standards. Lovely refurbished cottage, enough space for us for adults, 1 child and our three dogs. It was very clean and modern; especially the kitchen diner was lovely and new. The cottage is let down by the location on the main road (A road) and next to a garage. We found the rush hour traffic particularly disturbing. It was a fabulous place. The dogs loved laying out on the patio after the long walks on the coast, the kitchen was big enough for a small party, and the country shop next door had a great selection of beers and posh food to enjoy. The White House is large, well equipped property, ideal for families. The outdoor space is safe and secure for children and pets. Don't be put off by the close proximity of a petrol station, as it closes at 8pm and there is no light pollution after that time either. We had to wait to enter and exit the driveway while people used the tyre air machine in the garage.
