New to our collection for 2017, this pretty property offers traditional yet contemporary interiors, well laid out for couples or families. A truly beautiful holiday home with exposed beams and many quaint original features. A tennis court and children’s play park are just 200 yards from the cottage.

Situated just south of Shaftesbury, which itself is home to Gold Hill, known to many as “Hovis Hill” as it was used in the 70’s TV ads for Hovis bread. Gold Hill looks down from the steep incline to the town below, offering a panoramic view of the town and runs beside the Grade I listed walls of Shaftesbury Abbey which date back to the 1360s. There are many attractions in the area such as Hayes Motor Museum, Longleat House and Safari Park, the beautiful gardens at Stourhead House, Salisbury Cathedral and Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum. The popular seaside resorts of Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth are also worth a visit.

The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite WC and 1 twin. On the ground floor, 1 double accessed via 1 step down from the kitchen/diner. Ground floor bathroom with roll-top bath and shower cubicle. 2nd ground floor shower room with WC. Lounge: with feature fireplace and TV/DVD. Separate dining room. Kitchen/diner: with electric range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV and hi-fi. Outside: enclosed, south facing lawn and patio area with garden furniture and gas BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking for 3 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. Additional info: Please note due to the property’s age there are some lower doorways and ceiling heights. Selection of books, games and DVDs available. Location: shop, pub and restaurant within walking distance.

Beautiful kitchen extension which was well equipped with everything you could need, because of the lightness we used this room often. Very quaint cottage generally in nice location for lots of local attractions

A lovely old cottage with all the facilities one might wish for with a good pub / restaurant within walking distance. Regarding places to visit, we found the cottage to be conveniently located to cater for both family with young children and adults. Many places to visit within an hour drive.

A beautiful thatched cottage with a stunning kitchen set up and lovely garden. The rest of the cottage was cosy and nicely done. The lounge is especially nice to relax in. Could benefit with another shower as the cottage sleeps 6. Fortunately there are two toilets (one up stairs and one downstairs and luckily separate to the shower/bath room).
