This bright and welcoming converted barn offers spacious accommodation in a picturesque rural location.

Adjoining working farmland, the accommodation is one of two detached barn conversions which have been designed with great care and style to make the most of the views. A perfect location for enjoying the countryside or take a stroll to the main farm where guests are invited to watch the robotic milking or meet the cows and sheep. The property is nestled in the picturesque village of Whitchurch Canonicorum in the lovely Marshwood Vale with its river Char which winds down to Lyme Bay at Charmouth. The historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port of Lyme Regis is nearby. Its historic Cobb and harbour are iconic features, set against blue cliffs yielding fossilised evidence of life on earth millions of years ago. Just a short drive will take you to the lively market town of Bridport with many pubs, shop and restaurants. Just a mile south of the town is the charming fishing village of West Bay. There are many attractions in the area including Jurassic Fun Centre, River Cottage HQ, Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and Axe Valley Wildlife Park.

Arranged on one level, the accommodation is light and airy with high ceilings, exposed beams and an open-plan layout. In the kitchen area you will find an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy sociable meals together at the dining table nearby before putting your feet up in the welcoming lounge area, where there is a cosy wood burner, TV and DVD. There are three light and airy bedrooms, one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, one further double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is also a separate bathroom with overhead shower.

French doors open from the lounge area onto a sunny patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. An enclosed garden laid to lawn is beyond, an ideal spot for all the family to enjoy and for dogs to play. Off-road parking is available outside the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Perfect location for us and extremely quite during the day and night time. The enclosed garden was fantastic for our 4 month old puppy. The kitchen was very well equipt pots and pans wise though nothing at all in the cupboards like cooking oil, salt & pepper. The log burner was so warm and cosy. The pub a stone's throw away served lovely food and lRead moreet us take away when we wanted to get back to the log burner! The Stable is ideally located for visiting many Dorset coastal resorts. Whitchurch is a lovely quiet village so the stable provides a peaceful holiday. The accommodation is extremely well equipped and clean, all you need to take is towels and food. The garden is fenced so our dog was safe from the sheep in the field beyond haha. A lovely cottage with everything you need for home from home. Setting is lovely with views over the countryside. Nice peaceful garden for outside dinning. Garden is also very secure for small children and dogs.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and location. Everything you needed was supplied. Only 100 yards to the local pub and 10 minutes in the car to the nearest supermarket. All very clean. We loved it here and waking up to the sound of sheep. The views are amazing as well. Highly recommend

A really lovely cottage. An open plan sitting room kitchen-diner which works very well. Though centrally heated the wood burner was excellent and provided extra comfort and heat, particularly during the snow we unexpectedly had. Cosy location in a quaint little village, conveniently located for seaside, and easy walk to the local pub. Pleasant cottage that is well equipped and spacious enough for three couples at a push. Very poor or non-existent mobile phone signal at times. No wifi at all while we were there but we believe this was a fault of BT rather than the owners.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stable and would certainly return. It was clean and there was plenty of room for six adults plus a toddler and dog. The location was good and the accommodation provided everything we needed for our week's stay.
