Beautifully presented five-star 1930s property sleeping eight guests, with spacious grounds which include a private outdoor swimming pool and well-tended lawns, located close to the beach at Sandbanks.

This property enjoys a sought-after location in the village of Canford Cliffs close to the Sandbanks peninsula. The village beach with its golden sands, is a short walk away, allowing guests to enjoy a true seaside holiday. A little way down the beach is the Sandbanks peninsula itself, from where the chain ferry runs across to the picturesque Studland Bay, a wilder beach which is maintained by the National Trust. The two seaside towns of Poole and Bournemouth, are each situated within five miles of the property, both of which provide plenty for visitors to see and do, including a boat trip across to Brownsea Island, parks, shops, restaurants, miles of beaches, and an oceanarium.

On arrival at this handsome property, guests will immediately be able to see how much love and attention has been put into creating a truly five-star experience. The lounge is a wonderfully relaxing space, with comfortable sofas, a wood burner, TV/DVD, and beautiful lead-framed patio door which leads to the sunny conservatory. There will be no disagreements about what to watch on TV here, as just off from the lounge, there is a cosy snug room with its own Smart TV. The dining room provides the perfect space for formal meals and sociable dining, with its large dining table, flame-effect electric fire, and stained-glass window, whilst the kitchen has a breakfast bar which is a great place for more informal meals and snacks. As you would expect from a five-star property, the kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms. The first of these is a very spacious king-size room with relaxing arm chairs, and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC. The second bedroom is another generously-sized room with a super-king-size bed which can be made up as a twin room on request. The remaining two bedrooms are a pleasant twin and a restful single room which has a pull-out bed which may be used to accommodate an eighth guest on request. The main bathroom on the first floor is a rare example of an original Art Deco bathroom with a bath, and WC, whilst there are also separate WCs on both the first and ground floors.

The outside area to the property is just as impressive as the house itself, with one acre of grounds which include lawns, a number of terraced seating areas, woodlands, and, of course, the heated outdoor pool, which is open from the beginning of June to the beginning of September and is tended to on a daily basis. There is  parking on the property’s driveway.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodridings. We were two families and the accomodation was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. The children particularly loved the pool amd swam every day. We loved the beach that was walkable from the house. We particularly enjoyed travelling around the area by oRead morepen-topped bus, leaving the cars at the house for a more relaxing holiday. Hide

Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The swimming pool was a great success. The nearby beach at Canford Cliffs was perfect for the children. The week we were there it was very hot and we had the windows open at night and found the road noise a bit intrusive.

We loved our holiday at Woodridings. We were a family of 5 adults a 3 children under 5. The house was gorgeous, very clean spacious and serene. The garden was very large and private. Having a pool was amazing, it was used every day and the children especially loved it! Excellent location and we would return in a heart beat.

Beautiful house. Very comfortable and a lovely location. The garden was lovely to wander around and easy to get shade as it was very warm when we were there. The absolute pleasure though was the pool. Great size for a good swim. Deep enough too. Not really suitable for very little ones though. We took a paddling pool for our 16 month old granddaughRead moreter which she loved and it kept her happy as we were ( and easy to put in the shade too.). Loved it. Hide

We had a lovely, relaxing week at Woodridings. The house was extremely clean, bright, fresh, spacious and modern, the owner was utterly charming, the garden was enormous and the pool was everything we could wish for in a heatwave. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance too!

A great location, with a large garden and with the added benefit of a pool. The kitchen was well equipped and the two main bedrooms were large and nicely furnished with comfortable beds. Tim the owner was helpful and friendly. There is some road noise which double glazing would help eliminate.

Really lovely characterful house in a prime location. Walking distance to Compton Acres and the coast. On a bus route to coastal destinations east and west. Walking distance also to some good but relaxed places to eat. Garden is delightful and pool lovely.

Excellent location near to the beaches and numerous other day trip things, and if the weather does keep you indoors, woodridings is a beautiful and excellently appointed house where you will feel at home, in front of the log fire if you so wish.

Delightful house, space for all family life and a great location. Restaurants close by were terrific and the delivery food was stand out too. This house was everything that we wanted it to be. We have left there refreshed and with big smiles. We had the house for 3 weeks spanning either side of Christmas and New Year.
