This early 19th century windmill is situated on the canal within easy walking distance of the historical market town of Boston. It is well placed for touring and walking and close-by there is one of the best markets in Lincolnshire. An ideal romantic get-away.

This early 19th century windmill is situated on the canal within easy walking distance of the historical market town of Boston. When milling gentle rumblings can be heard in the apartment that has been finished to the highest standard.

Boston offering a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities, is well placed for touring, walking and close-by there is one of the best markets in Lincolnshire. Local delicacies are plentiful but the Boston sausage is a must. For days out, the Lincolnshire Wolds provide an ideal place for exploring and the market towns of Horncastle and Louth are within easy reach. The picturesque city of Lincoln is only a short drive away. Within an hour’s drive, there’s North Norfolk, and the seaside town of Skegness, with its sandy beaches and family attractions. Hemswell is a must visit;  home to the largest Antique's Centre in the UK. The popular RPSB bird sanctuaries at Freiston Shore and Frampton Marsh are just a 10 minute drive.

On entering the mill take the narrow stairs leading to the apartment, A spacious lounge/diner with comfortable sofas ideal for relaxing in front of the TV with freesat and DVD. The kitchen is very well equipped having a range cooker with gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The romantic king size bedroom features antique furnishings. In the bathroom relax in the roll top bath, having a separate WC.

Outside: There is a car park providing ample off road parking.

The property would benefit from having a walk in shower. The bath is lovely but if you're not too agile it's difficult to get in and out of. Otherwise property very comfortable. Great kitchen.

The Windmill is a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and relaxing. James and Richard are very friendly and helpful hosts, full of local knowledge and useful information. A trip around the windmill is a must.

wonderful flat in a brilliant location, windmill, canal and pub, on the edge of Boston, where you can walk into town and find lots of places to eat we had all we needed and the owners left lots of supplies for us, and spent the time to ensure we enjoyed our stay

Booking procedure excellent. Spoke to owner prior to arrival by telephone. A warm welcome upon arrival. The accommodation was very clean and there was a selection of food and drink very thoughtfully arranged for us. Very good central location, excellent parking facilities. It met our needs perfectly. We needed a base in Lincolnshire for visiting NSE&W. The quirky nature of the property and the owners made it a wonderful stay. Bonus point was the availability of the organic flour, the mill tour and the colourful garden.

We had a brilliant holiday at The Flour Mill, James and Richard where there to meet us when we arrived and showed us to our accomadation, they were very helpful for information from places to eat and things to see during our stay. There was a goodie package in the kitchen that includes bread cakes milk butter jam which was very welcoming. Would go Read moreback again in the future. Hide

A wonderful tastefully renovated apartment oozing with character. Received a wonderfully warm welcome from the owner together with some wonderful edible goodies to get my holiday started. A lovely place to relax and a great base for exploring the nearby nature reserves of Frampton Marsh and Freiston shore. Had a tour of the windmill which was fasciRead morenated. Lovely accommodation in a working windmill. Well equipped kitchen and great welcome pack with oats and bread from the mill itself. Good location in Boston a short walk from town but quiet too.

The accommodation is beautifully and comfortably furnished with quirky decorations and very well equipped. James and Richard are wonderful hosts who gave us a very warm welcome. It is a privilege to be able to stay in the mill and learn how it works - and sample some of its produce.
