Set in a secluded and picturesque village ideally situated in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside, this lovely, traditional brick and flint cottage makes a fantastic family holiday home.

The delightful village of Kettlestone dates back to the Domesday Book and makes an ideal base for exploring this lovely part of Norfolk. Nearby is the bustling and historic market town of Fakenham, home of the Fakenham Racecourse and the Thursford Show. The town also offers a choice of pubs and restaurants, as well as a cinema, flea market, Corn Hall and a popular museum. Among nearby attractions are the glorious Pensthorpe Natural Park, Binham Priory, RSPB Titchwell Marsh, Blakeney Point, the Holkham Estate and Stody Lodge Gardens. The Norfolk coast is just a short drive away, and there are plenty of towns and villages to discover, including Burnham Market, Great Massingham, Hunstanton and King’s Lynn.

On entering this delightful and traditional brick and flint cottage you will find yourself in the bright and comfortable lounge, which offers the ideal space to relax in at the end of a great day out, with plenty of comfy seating, an open fire, TV/DVD and radio. You will also find a charming dining room with an oak table and space for eight guests. Heading into the stylishly designed kitchen/breakfast room, you will find it fully equipped with an electric oven, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and microwave. The larder has an extra fridge and a freezer. There is also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a ground-floor WC. Heading up to the first floor you will find three comfortable and spacious bedrooms. There’s a double room and two twin rooms. You will also find a day bed on the landing, and the bathroom is complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, you will find a large enclosed rear garden, with furniture, where you can unwind and dine al fresco. There is storage space for bikes and surf boards in the open barn, and off-road parking for three cars is available to the side of the house.

 

 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Clematis Cottage was far better than we could have expected. Literally fantastic! Everything was spotless and all utensils, cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer and vac were top brands and not the 'bare minimum' usually found in self catering cottages. Such a wonderful place to visit both inland and the coast. We are returning!!!!
