Approached though countryside this delightful riverside cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners to offer fabulous holiday accommodation virtually on the river.

With the river Thurne on one side and open fields with cattle grazing on the other,this property is located on the edge of the river Thurne. Sit and enjoy views up and down the river or watch the passing sail and motor boats. You can take a walk or hire a self-drive day cruiser, fish from the river’s edge or simply watch the wildlife. Close by is Potter Heigham with shops and places to eat.Visit Winterton-on-Sea and walk to see the seals. Attractions include Thrigby Hall, Bewilderwood and Africa Alive. Norwich has shops, museums, a Castle, cathedrals, shopping and many restaurants to visit.

The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin with restricted head height and 1 double on the ground floor. Bathroom: with bath, separate shower and WC. Lounge/diner: with TV/DVD. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Outside: veranda with seating and lawn area with garden furniture, BBQ and direct access to the river. Amenities: parking is available off-road by permit which is provided (200 yards away). A second car parking permit can be provided. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets. Location: beach 5 miles, pub and shop 2 miles. Arrival time: 3pm.

Had a great 3 night stay at Nutshell with my partner and 8yr old daughter. Very clean, charming and well equipped property in a delightful location. My daughter loved feeding the family of ducks on the front lawn. Sue, the owner, was brilliant and escorted us to the property where we found some provisions provided to get us started. There was even Read morea gift waiting for my daughter on her bed. Highly recommend. Hide

Fantastic. Sipping tea on the veranda in the early morning watching the wildlife and boats was memorable. Nutshell is a little gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nutshell. We were met by Sue the owner who was very welcoming and hospitable. The location was ideal for a quiet long weekend, with lots to do in the surrounding area.
