Ideally situated close to the heart of the bustling Georgian market town of Holt, this comfy and welcoming holiday cottage makes an ideal base for exploring Norfolk’s beautiful coast and countryside.

Just a few miles from the glorious Norfolk coastline, the thriving market town of Holt makes an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. Holt is a pretty Georgian town, home to many historic buildings and an excellent range of pubs, restaurants, independent shops and art galleries. The Holt Country Park offers 100 acres of woodland to explore. You can take a trip on the North Norfolk Railway, discover the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle or visit Letheringsett, Norfolk’s only working watermill. There are numerous pretty towns and villages to visit including Fakenham and Walsingham, or you could head to coastal spots such as Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster. You could also visit the Holkham Estate, Pensthorpe Natural Park and RSPB Titchwell.

On entering this delightful semi detached holiday cottage, which has been built in a traditional brick and flint style and which is perfectly situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the centre of Holt, you will find yourself in the spacious and welcoming lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, TV/DVD and Electric wood burner effect fire, this is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a great day. Moving into the kitchen/diner, you will find a charming dining area which seats six guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a large range-style electric oven with gas hob and extractor, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and radio. There is also a ground-floor WC. Exploring further you will find a lovely garden room with sliding glass doors, which overlooks the garden and which offers a lovely space to unwind in, with a radio/CD and iPod dock. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find three cosy bedrooms. There’s a double room with a king-size bed, plenty of storage space and an en-suite shower room complete with freestanding shower and WC. There’s also a twin room and a single room. You will also find a family bathroom complete with a bath, hand held shower and WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax in the fully enclosed paved garden with garden furniture. Off-road parking is available for two cars: there’s space for one car in the garage, and also a designated space opposite the garage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

It was our 2nd visit to Ruby Cottage and it was just as enjoyable as the 1st. We were sorry to leave and hope to visit again very soon. It is a lovely cottage in a very good location.

Ruby Cottage was very clean, very well equipped, the beds were very comfortable! My only complaint would be that the sofas were too low for me! But all in all 10 out of 10!

Ruby Cottage was really well equipped. In a quiet location and very comfortable. I would recommend Holt as a location and also Ruby Cottage. I have already visited the website looking for accommodation in Cley, as that was my favourite place after Holt.
