Situated on the edge of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this two bedroom cottage offers a great base from which to explore the area.

This quiet corner of Suffolk is an ideal retreat for guests wishing to find a relaxing break with days sightseeing. Cyclists and ramblers will find a myriad of paths and tracks locally through scenic countryside. Just four miles away is Suffolks Heritage Coast where you may wish to take a stroll along Aldeburgh high street with a wide selection of boutiques, eateries and art galleries or try award winning fish and chips on the promenade lined by pretty pastel coloured 19th century villas. The coast is also home of the renowned reserve RSPB Minsmere, Orford Ness, Snape Maltings shops and concert hall and of course the lovely sandy beaches of the popular seaside resorts of Walberswick and Southwold.

Upon arriving at the cottages guests will enter the property to find an open-plan kitchen/diner which is well equipped for those choosing to dine in with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge. The lounge features an exposed brick fireplace with wood burner and two comfy sofas to ensure a relaxed and cosy feel while watching the TV/DVD. Also on the ground floor is a separate WC and a porch with washing machine and tumble dryer. The steep cottage style stairs lead to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, a double and a bunk bedroom. Finishing the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Venturing outside, the cottage has pretty gardens with large raised decking area with picnic table, ideal for some alfresco dining and an enclosed lawn area for children or pets to expend any excess energy. There is off-road parking for one car at the rear of the cottage as well as the start of a walking trail. Sandy or muddy paws can also make use of the outside tap.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cottage in the centre of a charming and friendly village. Many country walks around the area, ideal for anyone with a dog and for walking off the hearty meals you can get from the local pub, The Old Chequers. The cottage is the ideal base for visiting many attractions around the area including The Long Shop museum in Leiston and several NatiRead moreonal Trust and English Heritage properties. Can safely say its been one of our favourite places to stay and would gladly visit again! Hide

Electric heating in all rooms-very effective. Heated rail in bathroom-switch is in 2nd bedroom. shower in bathroom very good. information on which bins need putting out on what days would be helpful as they were near full when we stayed. Very close pub/restaurant (200yards away) only open Weds to Sundays but meals are superb, and is dog friendly. ARead morell details filed in seperate information pack would be good Hide

Cottage in a superb location, good size and kitchen very well stocked with utensils etc. If above problems sorted it would be a fantastic property. Loved the enclosed garden for our dog and lots of local places to visit and good walks.
