There are lots of little coastal gems which are more off the beaten track, perfect for an active family adventure. Visit charming Clovelly, the little car-free village which tumbles steeply down to a pretty harbour, take a walk at Hartland Quay and witness the waves crashing in, or head for The Valley of the Rocks for epic views and a daredevil clifftop walk.
Inland, the beautiful moorland of Exmoor is waiting to be explored, and you can make friends with the animals, exotic and local, at Exmoor’s very own zoo.
