Beautifully styled and furnished, this cosy cottage offers a charming bolthole from which to explore this picturesque Cotswold town.

Situated just a stone’s throw from the pretty high street of Bourton-on-the-Water, this property is ideally positioned for exploring ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ on foot. The town boasts a wide array of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and galleries for stocking up on supplies, buying gifts for family and enjoying hearty meals out. Bourton-on-the-Water also marks the starting point of The Cotswold Way, which dissects the glorious surrounding countryside, passing pretty hamlets and villages along the way. Culture enthusiasts shouldn’t miss a visit to one of the many National Trust properties and gardens, including Chedworth Roman Villa, Chastleton House and Hidcote Gardens. Also within easy reach are the popular hotspots of Westonbirt Arboretum, Cotswold Farm Park and Blenheim Palace.

Inside, the accommodation has been lovingly updated with great attention to detail throughout. Prepare delicious meals in the light and bright kitchen area, which opens onto the garden through a patio door and contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Next door, the open-plan lounge/diner is a stunning room with exposed beams, stylish soft furnishings and a Cotswold stone fireplace. Enjoy meals at the dining table under the stairs before settling in for an evening of games, reading or TV/DVD in the serene and beautiful lounge area. Also on the ground floor, there is a clean and bright bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs you will find three inviting bedrooms, one double with en-suite shower room, one further double and one single.

Outside, there is a pretty enclosed garden with furniture, a BBQ and beautifully stocked beds adding seasonal colour.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20 for up to 7 nights, £40 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20 for every week or part week thereafter.

We had a lovely stay at Appletree Cottage. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and in a fabulous location. We were also treated to a lovely welcome pack on arrival with tasty bread and cakes and other essentials to get us started. We loved Apple Tree Cottage. On arrival the welcome pack was amazing and included bread, butter, eggs, milk, wine and cream cakes. A very thoughtful gesture. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable and cosy. Debbie Stibbe has wonderful taste furnishings, mirrors and lighting throughout the whole cottage. The position of the cottage is ideal. A home from home with everything you could possibly need. Lovely enclosed, private garden for our dog with a patio area and seating. Very tastfully decorated and lovely and clean. A stones throw from the village centre where we were able to eat out every day, very dog welcoming.

Cottage was fantastic, everything you need was there. So close to the High St, but so quiet and peaceful as well. It was only a shame we only booked for one week. Location was excellent, so much to see and do within close proximity of the property. If you didnt want to drive, plenty to do, as well as eat and drink within walking distance.
