This warm and inviting cottage is ideally placed for touring this picturesque pocket of the Cotswolds.

Situated within a working farm, the property is surrounded by fields of which guests are welcome to roam. There is easy access to the river Thames pathway, which takes in several tea rooms and inns along the way. The picturesque villages and towns of Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are all within easy reach and boast a tempting selection of cafes, restaurants independent shops and galleries. Other nearby attractions include Tetbury, Cheltenham, Oxford and The Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Inside, the accommodation is homely and inviting, with exposed beams and plenty of warm colour throughout. The spacious farmhouse kitchen/diner boasts an electric oven and hob, oil-fired Rayburn, combi microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus a farmhouse table for enjoying family meals. Next door, the lounge is cosy yet spacious with a woodburner, exposed beam, pretty cottage windows, TV / DVD for relaxing evenings in after a long day on foot. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and boasts a luxurious roll-top bath. Upstairs there are two well-presented bedrooms, one double and one further double with day bed for children and an en-suite shower room.

Outside, a pretty patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ gives way to a small grassed area, ideal for dogs.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Sadly not our ideal cottage, although we appreciate that tastes and expectations differ. Negatives for us: lack of privacy; aircraft noise - intermittent but up until 12.00 midnight; extremely uncomfortable sofa, too many knick knacks. If you like minimal, then this is definitely not the cottage for you.

Beautifully decorated cottage; the hosts could not have squeezed in another picture or knick knack. Very handy to all sorts of places- Oxford, Cotswolds, Cheltenham, but you will need a car. Very quaint and friendly hamlet where the cottage is.

Beautiful rural location. 100s of acres to walk the dog. Lovely olde worldly Farm house. All of the local pubs serve great food.

Too isolated for us, no pub in the village or shop, we didnt realise it was so far out from Lechlade. But the cottage is comfortable and homely with stuffed cuddly toys everywhere .

A beautiful cottage stocked with everything youd need. Very child friendly (we had our 18mo with us) and looks like it would be very dog friendly as well.

Bedwell Cottage is very homely, with lots of home comforts, a well-equipped kitchen and wood-burner and range. It was peaceful, apart from the odd airplane from RAF Brize Norton, with country walks on the doorstep and quaint towns and villages nearby. Theres lots to do in the area.

We found the property spacious, clean, warm etc. But on the downside the settee was uncomfortable and needed replacing. Good for dog owners with plenty of walks If you fancy a quirky country cottage full of nick nacks and pictures then this is the one for you.

The cottage was small and cluttered with too much furniture. It was advertised as appropriate for 3 dogs which we had with us and though we managed it wasnt really big enough. However it is well situated to be able to see the area.
