This light and bright open-plan cottage is well placed for touring this picturesque pocket of the Cotswolds.

Peacefully tucked away within the grounds of a private complex, this property sits within walking distance to the lakes. Stroll around the lake to discover how many different species of wildlife you can spot, or set off into the surrounding countryside, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Six miles away, the bustling market town of Cirencester boasts a range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while slightly further afield are the Regency town of Cheltenham and the historical city of Bath. Adrenaline junkies will love the nearby Cotswold Water Park, Britain’s largest water park offering a range of activities from waterskiing to fishing, cycling, golfing and horse riding. While those looking to soak up some local culture should head for the National Trust hotspots of Chedworth Roman Villa, the Sherborne Estate and the 17th century weavers’ cottages at picturesque Bibury.

Bright and spacious with an open-plan layout, the accommodation features wooden flooring, exposed Cotswold stone and a woodburner, making for cosy countryside escapes. While others relax nearby, cooks can prepare meals in the sociable kitchen area, which contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Dine at the large farmhouse table nearby before settling down for an evening in front of the woodburner and TV/DVD in the charming lounge area, which features exposed Cotswold stone and French doors to the patio. There is a shower room with WC on the ground floor for warming up after a morning on the lake. Upstairs, the bedroom with double bed is light and airy with an en-suite bathroom. A further double bedroom and one twin share a modern and bright bathroom with shower over bath.

Step outside from the lounge area onto a decked patio, where a table and chairs sit in a sunny position overlooking the pond.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The cottage was lovely, on the outskirts of the estate, well equipped and comfortable and very clean. We had a marvellous stay and the owners were very helpful

Had a fabulous couple of days st the cottage, it snowed initially which was followed by cold but sunny weather Lovely cottage and I would highly recommend it .
