This holiday property is the perfect hideaway in the Cotswolds. Spacious and inviting, it’s an elegant example of comfortable holiday living.

This attractive, single storey listed building has lovely arched Gothic windows and is quietly nestled next to a splendid Georgian house, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds within the town of Stow-on-the-Wold. It is within walking distance of the town square and high street. You are also well-placed for exploration of the wider region including some very popular villages including Bourton-on-the-Water and Burford without forgetting about the pretty Cotswold villages such as The Slaughters, Broadwell, Chipping Campden and many more. The wonderful Shakespearean town of Stratford-upon-Avon is within 30 minutes, so it’s possible to grab tickets for a show at the RSC. Also, add the dramatic Warwick Castle to your list for a fab day out with a picnic.

The elegance and style of this property is immediately apparent when you get to the cottage. On arrival, there’s a few stone steps up to the front door and entrance hall. You will soon find the spacious sitting room with comfortable seating, TV/DVD, hi-fi and French doors leading to the private patio. There is also a conservatory for relaxing with a book and just enjoying the surroundings. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a payphone. Nearby are the bedrooms; the first is a double bedroom with pleasant views and a king-size, whilst the other bedroom is a twin. For convenience, the bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC is close by.

Outside there is a private patio with garden furniture and BBQ to have a grilled cookout under the stars. There is parking for up to two cars (please arrange in advance).

The cottage was beautiful and well equipped. I was concerned that it was near a busy road, but it was set back on the property and quiet. There was more than just the basics in the fridge when we arrived. This was greatly appreciated, particularly the bacon and eggs. It is an easy to walk into town with a variety of shops, restaurants, and a Co-op Read morefor food. There is also a Tesco Superstore a short drive away on the North end of town. It is a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Hide
