Beautifully presented cottage with an interior flair situated in the quintessential village of Longborough, in the heart of the Cotswolds, which is just three miles north of the popular town of Stow-on-the-Wold.

One Hope Cottage oozes flair, being styled in contemporary neutral tones, to highlight the character and period features of this delightfully romantic cottage. Built from golden stone, synonymous with the Cotswolds, the cottage is situated within the heart of one of the most picturesque villages in the north of this region. The village of Longborough is famous for the opera promenade concerts in the summertime and tea room and local inn. There’s also a community run shop next door. Here, you are midway between the wonderful market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh where there is a plethora of chic independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The Cotswold Way also passes through Longborough, great for keen walkers and cyclists. For enthusiastic gardeners visit Batsford Arboretum and garden centre. Do also visit award-winning Daylesford organic farm shop; within easy access. Further afield Cheltenham and Stratford upon Avon are both great for a day at the races, historic trails or shopping. They also have many festivals and events throughout the year including food, literature, jazz and walking.

Upon entering the cottage you’ll appreciate how comfortable and well equipped it is. The ground floor is open plan but cosy, with wooden floor and painted beams and beautifully furnished. The living area features a fire place with wood-burner (first basket of logs included), TV, and comfy sofa and easy chairs. The dining table sits in the bay window, close to the smart well-equipped kitchen area which includes an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. Upstairs the double bedroom has a TV and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath with shower over and WC. Electric heating and Wi-Fi included.

Outside there’s a pretty courtyard garden with seating, perfect for enjoying a relaxing drink. Please note that the neighbouring property is accessed through this courtyard. Parking is available roadside.

The cottage is small, not as big as the pictures suggest. However it is very cosy and in an excellent location for touring the Cotswolds. It is right next door to the village store which is great, the only drawback was hearing the van delivering the newspapers at about 3:30 in the morning. All in all a very pleasant stay.
