Located in the heart of bustling Chipping Campden, this is an excellent choice for guests wishing to bid farewell to four wheels for a while. Set out on foot to browse the town’s abundance of boutique shops, cafes and galleries, or sample some local produce in one of the popular pubs or restaurants. Chipping Campden also marks the starting point of the Cotswold Way National Trail, which dissects this glorious countryside, passing pretty hamlets and villages along the way. Also within easy reach are Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham, home to the popular racecourse and literary festival. Boasting an array of original features including flagstone flooring, mullion windows, exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace, this quirky cottage delivers charm at every turn.

The kitchen/diner features shaker style units and a farmhouse table and has been fitted with an AGA-style, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy more formal meals in the separate dining room, which boasts exposed beams above and a feature fireplace beside the large antique table. With a large mullion window, the lounge is bright and airy, with an exposed Cotswold stone wall incorporating an inglenook fireplace with open fire. There is also a TV / DVD in this room for cosy evenings in. For those wishing to work while away, there is a study on the ground floor. Climb a characterful winding staircase to reach the first floor, where you will find a spacious double bedroom with charming en-suite bathroom, plus a single bedroom with window seat and additional pull-out bed on request. On the second floor there is a twin bedroom with exposed beams and pretty cottage windows, which can be made as a double on request, together with a shower room.

Outside, there is a picturesque patio area with stylish rattan furniture, a BBQ and a Cotswold stone wall to the side. A large enclosed lawn area beyond is perfect for dogs and children to play.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A beautifully appointed cottage in the heart of Chipping Campden with a good sized garden.Furnishings are of a high standard & the kitchen is very well equipped.The house was lovely & warm in Nov.Cooking is on a gas fired Aga which was not working upon our arrival as the flue was blocked and it had tripped out.The house managers had an Aga engineerRead more to us within 2 hours who sorted it out: very efficient service.The spiral staircase may be a problem for very elderly or infirm people or toddlers. The cottage was in the most perfect location, shops, cafes and restaurants right on your door step. Beautiful walks to go on from the front door. If staying in and relaxing there are 2 sets of garden furniture, one in the very back garden and one on the patio area all within a large walled garden. We had a wonderful stay at Plough House. The cottage is beautiful, fantastically well equipped and the garden is absolutely beautiful. The village of Chipping Campden was very nice with a great selection of pubs, cafes and shops just on the doorstep, as well as several lovely walks directly from the property. The cottage is a gem located in the wonderful Chipping Camden. The traditional old feel with wooden beams, gorgeous features such as the fire place and stone floors gave the cottage a lovely 'feel'. The facilities and equipment were first class with every eventuality catered for.

We loved our stay - a lovely cottage that was perfect for our needs. Really appreciated the extras in kitchen such as foil and herbs and spices. And loved how living space was separate from bedrooms for a noise point of view.

Plough House is the perfect holiday home. Apart from the lovely location with its gorgeous shops and lots of nice places to eat, the house itself is absolutely lovely ,beautifully furnished and it was so warm and comfortable it was a pleasure to come back to. The beds were the most comfortable we have slept in, and that includes our own! There was Read morenot a single thing we required which we could not easily find in the Aga warm kitchen. Lovely location. Very nicely decorated and very well equipped house Lovely looking garden, and very comfortable lounge. Was a shame that the double was not set up as 2 singles as we asked for this at the time of booking as instructed - but perhaps the agent didn't pass this on. Otherwise great.
