Wind up the farm lane through the well-tended meadows to find this traditional farm cottage peacefully tucked into the hillside. The nearby village of Mickleton is a charming rural village, the northernmost in Gloucestershire and home to the world-famous pudding club. It offers easy access into Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace, Broadway and Chipping Campden, home to the starting point of the Cotswold Way. Many local attractions in the area include Hidcote Manor and gardens, which is walkable from your doorstep, Batsford Arboretum, The Cotswold Farm Park, Evesham Vale Golf Club, Birdland’s and the Model Village at Bourton on the Water, Ann Hathaway’s Cottage, Warwick and Warwick Castle. Slightly further afield you will find Banbury, Oxford and Cheltenham famous for the Gold Cup.

Enter the hallway with its quarry tiled floor offering a warm welcome and plenty of space for coats and muddy boots from a day’s exploring. Just off the hallway is the cosy lounge with a warming wood burner, comfy sofas and TV, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends. The farmhouse kitchen with an eclectic mix of free standing pine is well-equipped with oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The bathroom is also off the hallway and enjoys a traditional style with shower over the bath and WC. Heading up the cottage style staircase you will find three bedrooms all with stunning views across the farmland, a king-size, a double and a single.

Step outside to the enclosed garden which enjoys an open post rail fence further enhancing the stunning views. Beautiful surroundings. The cottage is very comfortable and welcoming. The bathroom/ toilet is downstairs which may be a problem for some guests but was fine for our party. Had a very relaxing, peaceful time and will definitely stay again without hesitation.

We had a great time in the cottage. We loved the rooms, the view and the warm welcome. The villages near Mickleton are also great. We definitely recommend this place for your holiday. You will not regret it. Fam. Van der Hoeven

The cottage is in a quiet, secluded area on the outskirts of Mickleton. The soft furnishings are lovely and of high quality but the cottage is tired and needs a bit of tlc. A lick of paint and a new bathroom would make a big difference. Small touches like soap in the bathroom, spare toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets should have been provided as aRead more standard.
