What a fantastic Cottage! As soon as you enter you know its going to be great. The kitchen is so well equipped there is nothing else needed. There is so much space downstairs it is amazing. Upstairs, the bedroom is excellent and after a good days walking, the Bathroom is just what you need. And the the Pub next-door needs a review of its own "A fanRead moretastic Cottage & Pub" we will be back. Hide

Beehive Cottage was very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. The pub next door was also a bonus as it was very friendly with excellent food. We would recommend this cottage for it's comfort, cleanliness and location.

Cottage was really lovely, with a cosy homey feel to it. Scenery around was beautiful but there was very little activities to do in the near by area. The dog absolutely loved his stay with lots of long walks, meeting sheep, finding huge sticks and jumping in every muddy puddle he found! Definitely would recommend for a peaceful get away!

Very well appointed cottage, warm, comfortable, and clean. Couldn't be any easier to pop out for a quick pint as the pub is literally yards away, but there is no noise disturbance. Plenty of room to cook in the large kitchen, but the food in the pub was very good, and the staff and locals welcoming. You can even take your dog in, and let him toast Read moreby the fire whilst you eat! Plenty of good walking locally and well situated for visiting attractions. Hide

This is a lovely, cosy cottage in an excellent setting. The pub next door serves fantastic food and we had a totally lovely stay there over New Year.

A very comfortable, traditional cottage in a lovely remote picturesque location. Lovely atmosphere to relax in after a days hike in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. Was sad to leave on our final day. Looking to visit again in the new year with such lovely walks in the area. Perfect choice for us.

Cozy, comfortable, spacious & warm. Lots of cupboad space in the bedroom. Good hot water system. Located next to an excellent pub which serves good food & beer in a friendly atmosphere. Hearty walks available from the door! We spent 6 nights at Beehive in late November, managed to get to the top of Kinder Scout, explored Buxton, and did 3 other locRead moreal walks from the cottage. This cottage could potentially have been very good. However, some cost cutting meant it lost its appeal. Set in a nice village with good walking available nearby there is a really nice pub next door which is good for eating. However, cost cutting by the owners does not make the accommodation live up to its 4 star rating. There was a wifi box with nRead moreo plug and no password. There was a washer but you could not switch it as the socket was locked away. There was no freebie toiletries in the bathroom. Hide
