This charming cottage is over 300 years old and has been fully renovated in 2017, boasting charm with features such as original oak beams, wood burner and Aga with stunning views all around.

This detached cottage is located on the boarder of the Peak District National Park within the owner’s grounds. Situated close by to Chesterfield this ensures the location has fantastic transport links. Chatsworth House and Gardens is on the doorstep and boasts a fantastic day out for the whole family, the farm shop is not to be missed. The nearby town of Bakewell is a popular stop with those who visit, being home to the famous Bakewell Pudding shop. The area provides a wonderful selection of country pubs, cafes and restaurant to enjoy. Not forgetting you are spoilt for choice on the surrounding countryside walks, cycle paths and bridleways to explore.

Stepping inside the cottage you are welcomed by the charming country cottage kitchen/diner. The kitchen provides everything you will need for a home from home stay, such as combo microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The heart of the kitchen is the beautiful Aga, which is fully working, and warming. The dining area presents a traditional farmhouse table and the ideal base for those lazy breakfasts whilst taking in the surrounding views. Stepping down a handful of steps into the lounge area the stylish charm continues. There is a wood burner for those cosy nights in and a large flat screen TV and comfortable sofas to relax on. Upstairs the cottage offers two bedrooms, one king-size with en-suite shower and WC, and one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into twin upon request) with en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, enclosed shower and WC.

Outside the garden area has a patio, seating and built in BBQ, perfect for warm summer evenings and dining alfresco. There is an allocated parking area for two cars next to the cottage.

A wonderful cottage which has been renovated to the best quality with tasteful decor. We were very comfortable staying at Besom cottage. It was extremely cosy and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful cottage equipped and furnished to a very high standard. Ideal for two couples sharing with two double bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Glorious views all around and good location for visiting many of the Peak District attractions Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Besom Cottage was a beautifully restored cottage and we instantly felt at home with a lovely welcome pack and friendly greeting from the owner. It had everything we needed and was perfectly located for visiting Matlock Bath, Heights of Abraham, Monsal cycle trail, Ilam, Dovedale and much more. Our second stay at Besom Cottage, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is in a lovely location and is very well thought out. We were able to use the barbecue this year, which we really enjoyed.

A lovely cottage. Renovated to a very high standard. Comfortable and bright. Set in a beautiful location. Easy to get to and from all our chosen destinations. Its close to the village of holymoorside with a good restaurant/ pub. Chesterfiled is only 15 minutes drive away for food shopping. A very nice cottage in a quiet area but not far from amenities and the attractions of the Peak District. Stunning views of Chesterfield when you drive towards the cottage. The aga was a great feature in the kitchen and we used the aga every day.
