Nestled in a pretty village in the very heart of the Peak District National Park, this cottage is part of the old dairy and brims with character. A private gated courtyard gives this property a real sense of seclusion and safety for children and dogs.

Enjoying a spectacular National Park position, this rustic cottage offers guests great outdoor activities right from their doorstep. Just a short drive from the property, guests will find themselves at Chatsworth House, steeped in history and with beautiful parklands. When feeling less adventurous, guests can take a gentle walk along the waterside of Bradford Dale or simply stay in the pretty village and enjoy the peace and quiet and the excellent food and drink of one of the three village pubs.

Inside the property there is a small beamed kitchen complete with all the essentials. The beams continue in the lounge-dining room with a decorative log burning stove giving the room a wonderful sense of character. Downstairs there is also a bathroom.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms with exposed floorboards and wooden beams giving the rooms a cosy, intimate feel. There is a king size bed in the main room, and the large second bedroom has a double bed with an additional single bed.  An small child could be accommodated.

The cottage is approached through the private gated courtyard there being a patio garden to the side which takes in the sun for the majority of the day.

The cottage and the adjoining can sleep up to 10 people, making it an ideal accommodation choice for groups.

Beautiful cottages located in the middle of a small village, with plenty of options to walk around the area. We rented the two cottages together to spend New Year with friends. The cottage was fully equipped, clean and cozy which made our stay very pleasant.

A comfortable, well-equipped traditional cottage with ample private parking in a courtyard softened by sensitive planting, where we ate outside in sunshine at a spacious table.

We had a really lovely time in Buttermilk cottage, plenty of room for a family of four and 2 dogs! Cosy cottage and a great location.
