A wonderful cottage that dates back 150 years, the cottage is centrally located in the pretty village of Clifton. A three-storey, contemporary style property, ideally located for some of the area's best attractions.

Commanding a central village position, the property offers guests some great activities right on the doorstep. Relaxing riverside walks or gentle strolls into the pretty market town of Ashbourne and its quaint shops, make this property a great stay for those looking to explore on foot. The nearby cycling trails of Tissington are great for burning off some energy, and Alton Towers awaits for any guests who want to get their adrenaline pumping.

A spacious property with light rooms throughout, the property is full of charm. Original features in the downstairs dining room include a feature fireplace and an original tiled floor, which showcase the history of this property. The gallery kitchen located at the rear of the cottage, contains all the necessities for aspiring chefs.

A steep staircase leads up to the first floor and a cosy lounge area, perfect for whiling away an afternoon or watching TV. A cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin is also located on this floor.

The next floor opens out into a spacious double bedroom with an elegant vaulted beamed ceiling. An en-suite bedroom with a bath, shower-over, hand basin and toilet, compliments this delightful master bedroom.

Outside, the cottage has a seating area in the front garden with a BBQ and outdoor furniture for relaxing in the sunshine.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Had a great time here in the cottage and Clifton is a wonderfully friendly picturesque place. The owner is helpful and friendly, and the little welcome pack of tea coffee milk sugar and a homemade cake was a nice touch. The age of the cottage means it has steep narrow stairs so would not be at all suitable for anyone who has a problem with normal sRead moretairs. Hide

The cottage exceeded my expectations, and was quainter and more homely than I had anticipated. Often where photos can seem to oversell a feature or make something seem more attractive, this was not the case. Christmas Cottage was better than the pictures portrayed (despite being good pictures). The personal touches eg a chocolate cake on arrival, pRead morelus other bits. Brilliant. Thanks. Hide
