A spacious property nestled in 20 acres of gorgeous countryside. A quiet rural idyll with nearby riverside walks and stunning views of rolling fields and woodland. Just a short walk into the nearby village of Eyam.

The cottage commands a spectacular location in a rural haven of wooded pastures that are steeped in history, close to the Riley Graves and the Hancock family who were victims of the 1665 plague. The property's hillside position provides stunning views across Froggatt, Curbar and Baslow Edges, with the grandeur of Chatsworth House visible in the distance. Explore the countryside via the footpaths or riverside walks along the Derwent and into Middleton Dale. A short walk into the local village to the Miners Arms pub is a great way to spend the afternoon.

The open plan layout of this spacious cottage gives it a bright and airy feel. Limestone flagged floors and gas central heating give the property warmth, and a woodburner set into a Derbyshire stone fireplace adds a touch of character. A double bedroom with an en-suite shower room is located on the ground floor, as well as double glazed doors that lead out to the pretty patio area for evenings spent enjoying the breathtaking views.

Upstairs there is a charming bedroom with sloped ceilings, containing a super king size bed or twin beds if required. The bathroom has an en-suite with rolled top bath, separate shower, hand basin and toilet. Guests will wake up to the incredible views of the surrounding countryside from this lovely cottage bedroom.

This property is a rural haven which effortlessly blends into the landscape, a great choice for anyone seeking a quiet cottage retreat in beautiful grounds.

Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped with a lot of thought to detail. In a quiet rural location but near to all major attractions. At the top of a lane within walking distance to the village and pub, also a short cut to Stoney Middleton nearby if you can negotiate hills. Lovely stay and would definitely book this cottage again.

Whilst the road to the cottage is very narrow, we did not meet anything so it was not a problem. We enjoyed the ability to walk from the cottage and the cottage itself was warm and comfortable.

Lovely cosy cottage, very well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for families or two couples as each bedroom has its own bath/shower room. It's a little out of the way up a very narrow, unmade track but in a beautiful part of Derbyshire so well placed for visiting all its attractions.

I spent a week here with my sister and it was lovely - the cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, and is in an ideal location for walking. The views of the moors and Froggatt Edge from the upstairs bedroom were great, and from a little way down the lane you can see the whole valley, including Chatsworth House. This would be a good place to Read morestay for anyone! Hide
