Tranquil surroundings with a view across the valley and the sound of sheep. The cottage is down a gated single track lane well off the main road. The little patio and table was a lovely place to enjoy a sunny breakfast. The Tissington trail is close by and the location is perfect for walkers and cyclists.

We loved this cottage, it had everything we needed for our stay, lovely views and so peaceful. Surrounded by hills and plenty of walks. Would recommend this cottage.

Beautiful uninterrupted views. The only sound was of the sheep and birds. Lovely cottage for two people, with everything you need. This was our 2nd visit. Will go back for a 3rd.

A perfect place to get away from it all! The barn is tastefully decorated and furnished and had a warm, welcoming feel when we came back each evening. The countryside around is breathtaking and so quiet - we just had the sounds of the birds and sheep . We were lucky as the other barn wasn't occupied during our stay but it has been planned so that evRead moreeryone can enjoy their privacy. We shall return - and hopefully enjoy some better weather! A really good living space for sitting room and kitchen although upper space of Bathroom and bedroom is more limited for space. However the setting and views are sensational siting on the terrace outside was delight.

A nice place to rest. It would suit people who would want to be in a remote location. There is no mobile phone signal but a good internet signal. Stunning views.

A lovely peaceful isolated location but only a few minutes away from the main road. Accommodation is perfect for a couple who enjoy walking and the countryside. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed very comfy and lounge area is great for chilling out in after long day walking.

Beautiful scenery, very quiet and comfortable is how I would sum up this lovely cottage. It was a haven from modern life. The cottage was well-appointed with plenty of pots pans and cutlery, both dishwasher and washing machine, and very clean. The internet was good as there was no phone signal. A lovely escape for a few days.

Well-converted farm outbuilding in a very peaceful spot on the upper Dove valley. Excellent heating and well-appointed kitchen, including dishwasher. Great place for a winter break

A picturesque rural getaway, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Isolated enough to feel that you've got away from the hum drum of everyday life, but a fantastic location for exploring the stunning wider area. The cottage was wonderfully warm and cosy - I definitely plan to make a return trip!

Anyone looking for a really rural retreat or base should look no further. I would guess that if the weather is bad you ought to plan on not getting out and having a good supply of food etc.
