Was a lovely quiet location. We had 9 in our party aged between 8 months and 86 years. It suited us all. Great to have 3 bathrooms and a cloakroom downstairs. Large garden which was ideal for our 3 dogs.

Overall the cottage was pleasant and well equipped. The positioning of the cottage was not as secluded as the description suggested, 'A detached stone barn nestled amidst 1.5 acres of green fields', in reality there is one field that is unusable which is located by the side of the property and overlooked by existing dwellings.

Our group really enjoyed our weekend in Derwent View and if we did have any issues, they were dealt with immediately by the owners. We would go back there and found the venue very central to where we wanted to visit. A few of the group went walking straight from the cottage and found the routes very easy to understand and follow.

A comfortable former barn, good walks, small sitting room for house size though it suited us & our g-children very well. Steep approach by road, and no shops immediately nearby - but for us well worth it for the spectacular views and total peace. G-children insisted on walking to the waterfall along the valley almost every day, with all of us happyRead more and, best of all for some, rather wet and muddy. Hide
