A picture postcard property, located in the centre of the market town of Bakewell. A great base for those wishing to experience village life set amidst the beautiful surrounding landscape of the Peak District.

Commanding an idyllic town positon, the cottage is a chocolate box terraced property and an ideal place from which to make the most of the best the Peak District has to offer. For those seeking some English grandeur, the fascinating country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just a short drive away. Guests can stretch their legs in the well renowned Limestone Way or walk the Dales of Bradford and Lathkill.

A cosy cottage lounge with a gas coal effect stove is set into a stone fireplace and provides an inviting entrance to the cottage. A kitchen-dining room contains gorgeous exposed wood beams and tiled floors that create a lovely farmhouse atmosphere. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor with a bath, shower-over, hand basin and toilet.

Upstairs there are two good size bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a double bed with enchanting views of the church opposite. To the rear there is a bedroom with a five-foot link bed which can be separated into two single beds if requested. The windows of the room showcase the breathtaking views across the rooftops of Bakewell and the stunning countryside in the distance.

Outside, steps lead you to a patio garden area that’s perfect for dining al fresco and enjoying a BBQ. At the front of the property there is a small garden which adds to the picturesque charm.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Cottage is located on steep hill. Even permit parking does not guarantee nearby space. Bathroom is on ground floor. Cottage very cosy and warm. Bedrooms very nice with comfortable beds. Cottage close to town centre for shops and pubs etc.

It's a lovely cottage - exactly what we expected. The location was excellent and the shops of Bakewell are just a few minutes away. The beds were very comfortable. We had a really lovely time.

Lovely cosy cottage in a super location for town. Beds are so comfy. Welcome tray was a lovely touch on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Cottage set on a hill so helps to walk off the Bakewell Tarts! Always found a parking space somewhere at the top of the hill. Fabulous stay in a lovely cottage in pretty Bakewell, thanks!

A very pretty cottage and Bakewell is a great base for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is just a minute or two from the centre but is on a quiet and very beautiful hill opposite the church. The back bedroom is lovely and peaceful but the front bedroom is opposite the church and if you're sensitive to the clock bells going every fifteen Read moreminutes then take some earplugs. A nice, comfortable cottage close to the centre of the town, which really helped. Great views from both the (small) rear terrace and the rear bedroom. Kitchen diner is compact but certainly large enough and is well equipped. A delight to stay in.

All spot on in a good location a 2 minute walk from the centre of Bakewell opposite the church. Lovely cottage with everything on hand and tastefully done. Plenty of walks straight out the back door without any need for a car and plenty of shops and pubs/restaurant in walking distance.

The Gingerbread Cottage was lovely. Just the right size for 3 of us with a delightful terrace garden with views to die for. The situation of the cottage was amazing - better than we were expecting - so close to the center of town! We all really enjoyed our stay!
