An excellent location in Barlow, central for tourist attractions in various directions, and all not too far away either. A very good central base for an excellent holiday, and clean and spacious and well located in village, just a few steps from village shop for foodstuff etc., and with good off road car parking.

Wonderful location for walking to and around Chatsworth Estate (1.7mile to the house itself through Baslow Village and then through Estate grounds to the house) - real highlight. Wheatsheaf pub at bottom of the hill is a winner for children's play area (only play area in Baslow). Nice property. Decent size for a family. I would go back to this propRead moreerty again. Hide

Lovely family cottage in a great location. We stayed here with our 18 month old daughter and babysitter. Both bedrooms are a good size and the living room has two large comfy sofas. Eat in kitchen was well equipt and the small conservatory was very useful to leave shoes and coats as there was heavy rain and snow during our stay. Baslow is a pictureRead moresque village with good access to peaks and some very yummy places to eat. Good for families and couples alike. Hide

Cottage is well placed in the village. Very comfortable and has pretty much everything you need. Agree with other reviews that a little TLC is required on the property to freshen it up.

A comfortable warm and well equipped cottage in a very good location for exploring the Peak District. There are two comfortable sofas in the lounge, a well equipped kitchen and the main bedroom is a reasonable size. Baslow is a lovely village with pubs and shops.

It is in a great position for walking. There is safe parking for 2 cars off the road. The village shop is next door and so handy for provisions.

The cottage is well located off the main road on a quiet lane and a stones throw away from the local shop. Walks are plentiful from the door step and the views are beautiful. Baslow has many places to visit only 15 to 20 minutes by carjourney.

The lication of the cottage is great with corner shop restaurants and salon within 5 min walk and lots of attractions nearby. The cottage however needed decluttering and a revamp it does not compare to other 4* cottages ive stayed in. No guestbook or welcome pk.
