Situated near to the entrance of Peak Cavern and under the reach of the imposing ruin of Perveril Castle, this cottage is a great choice for those wanting to make the most of the spectacular beauty and history of the Peak District. After a day spent climbing the challenging Pennine Way, guests can return to the Castleton pub which is the perfect spot for aching legs.

The bright open-plan living space of this charming cottage comprises of a cosy kitchen-diner and lounge area. There are gorgeous exposed beams and a gritstone fireplace with an electric log burning stove that provides a central feature to the room. After guests have spent the day climbing the High Peak, the inviting fire makes a great feature for a relaxing night in.

The kitchen has all the essential necessities that guests will require during their stay. The narrow staircase leads up to a spacious double bedroom with an adjoining bathroom containing a bath with handheld shower attachment, hand basin and toilet. From the windows of the two rooms guests can enjoy the breathtaking views across the village of Castleton.

There is a bench opposite the cottage which is a lovely place to sit outside and watch the world go by and relax in this wonderful village with a drink or book.

The property is a great choice for those seeking an enchanting village retreat nestled amidst the outstanding natural beauty of the High Peak and with superb walking routes right on the doorstep.

Very comfortable cottage wonderfully situated for walking and enjoying the amenities of Castleton. Beware steep stairs! Good selection of books to read, and cosy in the evenings.

A tiny cozy house for 2 persons, with all you will need for a great holiday. A real gem in a perfect location. With its own bench and views of Perveril Castle and Peak Cavern. And only a 5 minutes walk down to the village with the many nice shops and restaurants .

A lovely cozy cottage, a home from home! Ideally situated and close to all amenities and attractions. Friendly and helpful owner. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay and would definitely stay at High View again.

A great little cosy cottage in a beautiful setting. Great base for walking and visiting the caves. Everything we needed was close by - some of the shops are even open on Sundays.
