Beautifully converted barn with spacious and light interior featuring exposed beams and enjoying far-reaching countryside views. Located on the edge of a peaceful hamlet within walking distance of the local pub.

The property sits on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Little Longstone. Just three miles from Bakewell, it boasts an unusual Victorian chapel and 16th century inn. Guests can enjoy the wide range of excellent walks on offer nearby, which include routes to the neighbouring villages of Great Longstone and Ashford in the Water, or along the River Wye in the Monsal Dale.

A welcoming entrance hall, which doubles up as an alternative sitting area, leads you through to the impressive kitchen and dining room. With a beamed ceiling, wooden floor, farmhouse table and contrasting splash back tiles, this is a sociable and spacious family room in which to prepare and enjoy meals. The sitting room is bright and airy, with a sandstone wall, log burning fire and further exposed beams.

There is a bathroom on both the ground and first floors. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom, an impressive space with exposed ceiling beams and plenty of oak furniture. The second bedroom has been decorated in the same fresh style and has two single beds – perfect for children.

Outside there is a south facing patio area with table and chairs.  Bordered by a traditional dry stone wall, this area is a peaceful setting in which to enjoy a summer BBQ.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A comfortable barn conversion in a great location in the heart of the Peak District. Two pubs and a cafe within 5 minutes' walk mean that you needn't cook more than you want to. There is great walking out of the door, and you are within 30 minutes drive of everything else. There are a couple of areas where the property needs a bit of TLC, notably tRead morehe difficult to control heating. But it wouldn't stop us returning. Hide

Lovely welcoming, comfortable and well equipped property close to Monsal Head and with two local pubs nearby. Superb views from the property and very peaceful surroundings. Excellent village shop selling almost everything in nearby Ashford-in-the-Water with the picturesque market town of Bakewell being around a 10 minute drive away.

Orrs Barn is in a lovely location, and I would visit again. It was quiet and peaceful and just a small walk away from the Monsal Head Hotel with some fantastic walks for us and our dog.
