Beautifully converted barn with spacious and light interior featuring exposed beams and enjoying far-reaching countryside views. Located on the edge of a peaceful hamlet within walking distance of the local pub.

The property sits on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Little Longstone. Just three miles from Bakewell, it boasts an unusual Victorian chapel and 16th century inn. Guests can enjoy the wide range of excellent walks on offer nearby, which include routes to the neighbouring villages of Great Longstone and Ashford in the Water, or along the River Wye in the Monsal Dale.

A welcoming entrance hall, which doubles up as an alternative sitting area, leads you through to the impressive kitchen and dining room. With a beamed ceiling, wooden floor, farmhouse table and contrasting splash back tiles, this is a sociable and spacious family room in which to prepare and enjoy meals. The sitting room is bright and airy, with a sandstone wall, log burning fire and further exposed beams.

There is a bathroom on both the ground and first floors. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom, an impressive space with exposed ceiling beams and plenty of oak furniture. The second bedroom has been decorated in the same fresh style and has two single beds – perfect for children.

Outside there is a south facing patio area with table and chairs.  Bordered by a traditional dry stone wall, this area is a peaceful setting in which to enjoy a summer BBQ.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The situation of the property is idyllic, especially if u have dogs, with fields surrounding the cottage, and wonderful views from the garden at the rear. Central to many of the attractions you would wish to visit in the Peak District - Chatsworth House for one which was a short drive away.

Stunning views, very quiet and peaceful. A great base to get out and about to visit the Derbyshire Peaks. Plenty of room, clean and well equipped, very comfy. Great to have a garden although not secure for dogs. Couldnt have wished for better. Met host on Day 2 who checked if we had settled, very nice touch

The barn itself is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay, it was also very clean, it is in a lovely location with with great views all around. Some parts of the barn need some TLC, especially the living room, the sofa has seen better days and was not a comfy, the wood burner door seals were part missing/perished making it not veRead morery efficient, so had to spend nearly 60 on wood for the week which never had to do before when staying at lots of cottage's with wood burners. A comfortable barn conversion in a great location in the heart of the Peak District. Two pubs and a cafe within 5 minutes' walk mean that you needn't cook more than you want to. There is great walking out of the door, and you are within 30 minutes drive of everything else. There are a couple of areas where the property needs a bit of TLC, notably tRead morehe difficult to control heating. But it wouldn't stop us returning. Hide
