Picturesque stone cottage with stylish contemporary interior and private area for BBQ, located just a stone’s throw from popular Baslow village. Also within walking distance of local shops and pub.

Situated in the popular Derbyshire village of Baslow, the property is within walking distance of the many local facilities, which include a post office, grocery shops, pubs and restaurants. If you are looking for a long walk, the stunning views from the Gristone Edge are not far away, or why not explore the heather moorlands above the village?

Through the hall, a large L-shaped open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room features a beamed ceiling, charming fireplace with log burning stove and carefully chosen pastel fabrics. The kitchen is very modern, with white units, granite worktops and new appliances, while a good sized oak dining table adds to this property's traditional cottage style.

One bedroom is located on the ground floor, making this property accessible to all. This room has been decorated in beautiful floral shades, with a double bed and modern en-suite bathroom. Upstairs, the two remaining bedrooms each have twin single beds with access to a Jack and Jill shower room. These rooms are equally as spacious, each with its own individual colour theme.

Evergreen shrubs surround the private patio garden, which has a pretty arbour, perfect for enjoying an al fresco drink.

Our third stay in Paeony Cottage and it's still a warm cosy cottage with all the home comforts you need. Situated in Balsow it makes it central for visiting all areas of The Peak District and with a shop yards away from the front door for any forgotten food items. This cottage was cosy and inviting, the shower was fabulous one of the best we have had in nine weeks! Close to many amenities including the village shop and within walking distance to Chatsworth House and several pubs. The downside - no welcome pack such as a little milk, some tea bags, sugar and/or coffee would have been appreciated after a long Read moreand tiring drive in less than pleasant weather conditions. I stayed in Paeony cottage with 2 friends, to celebrate a 'significant' birthday. The cottage is in a great location; quiet, but lovely walks in every direction. The dcor and general layout is excellent, 3 good sized bedrooms and really well equipped. As we all cook, we were impressed to see a lovely stock of cooking condiments and decent cooking kRead moreit. The cottage is really well sited for walking and exploring the beautiful countryside in the area. We walked to Chatsworth house and that was a great way to get there. The village shop has a good variety and is really convenient. The cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a 2 week holiday this summer with our family (2 parents, 3 teenagers) and we just loved it. Great cottage, well equipped, calm, great walks, pubs and restaurants within walking distance,... On top of that, the Peak District is wonderful.

Great cottage with everything on your door step should you not want to drive. A handy little shop a stones throw, a few local pubs & restaurants (Rowleys for higher end fantastic food, The Wheatsheaf for you normal pub grub but with a very warm welcome).
