This historic cottage has been thoughtfully refurbished and decorated to reflect its interesting history, while also providing a contemporary and comfortable feel. Within walking distance of local shops and tea rooms.

Eyam is a pretty and quintessential Derbyshire Dales village with plenty of history to discover. This cottage benefits from the village’s amenities, which include a village shop, tea room, post office and traditional pub. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall country houses lie within a 25 minute drive, while fishing, gliding, caving and climbing facilities are also nearby, making this the perfect base for culture and sporting enthusiasts alike.

The pretty cottage garden brings you straight into the spacious sitting and dining area. With exposed beams, flagstone flooring, crisp white walls, stylish seating and a welcoming log burning stove in a traditional stone fireplace, this room is the perfect mix of new and old. The separate galley style kitchen is compact yet thoughtfully designed, with pretty splash back tiles, bright units and an external door to the rear yard giving off the feeling of more space.

Upstairs, the master double bedroom enjoys views over the neighbouring croft and Eyam Edge beyond, while the second bedroom has two single beds, an original stone fireplace and garden view. The rooms share a family bathroom, which has a walk in shower and bright white brick tiling providing a contemporary, fresh style.

Guests are welcome to retreat to the mature cottage garden for an al fresco drink overlooking the pretty floral beds and borders and watching the goings on of village life.

The cottage is adorable, beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The location is amazing, both within the village (opposite one of the best tearooms ever) and the wider Peak District. I would definitely return. The only caveat is that the very steep stairs and narrow treads would be difficult if mobility was restricted.

We had a lovely week staying at Pine Door. The village has a fascinating history. It is ideally situated for walking and site seeing. It has 2 lovely tea shops, a good pub, and down the road, in Stoney Middleton, there is a very good fish and chip shop and Indian take away. We would love to come back again and explore more of the beautiful Peak DisRead moretrict Hide

Delightful cottage to stay in. Warm and cosy for a winter break, especially with the option to use the wood burner. Nice location in the village being near the local pub and the tea rooms.

Lovely location, great for getting out and about in the Peaks. Pub on the doorstep is nice (need to book to eat there on a Friday night) tea rooms opposite are lovely. Cottage is small but more than adequate for a young family of four and a dog!

Great location close to all amenities especially walks. Not great for guests over 6 ft as doorways low. Enough room for 4 adults. Comfortable and homely, well equipped, clean and tidy. Nice seating area at the front when weather allows. Pretty front garden.
