Enjoy a relaxing break in this delightful cottage which is ideal for couples and small families located in the heart of the popular town of Bakewell with an abundance of facilities on the doorstep.

Bakewell and the Peak District offer a huge variety of things to do and places to go, whether you prefer attractions such as Chatsworth or Haddon Hall, visiting the numerous market towns and villages, sampling the delights of local markets or exploring everything the great outdoors has to offer. Bakewell is one of the most popular towns in the Peak District, offering a range of shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The local area is well served for cyclists, as Bakewell lies at the start of the Monsal Trail, one of three car-free walking and cycling trails in this part of the Peak District. The rolling limestone hills of the White Peak and the dramatic moorlands and gritstone edges of the Dark Peak provide endless opportunities for exploring via the extensive network of public footpaths and open access land.

The property is a beautifully restored Grade II listed Georgian property dating back to 1751, step into the welcoming lounge area with its stunning feature stone fireplace, home to the beautiful wood burner, providing a cosy place to curl up on the cooler evenings and curl up in front of the TV/DVD. Heading through to the well-equipped kitchen/diner you have everything you need to cook up a hearty breakfast such as an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher, with nearby dining table with seating for four guests to enjoy the resulting meals. There is a downstairs bathroom which is tiled throughout with shower over bath and WC, and a heated towel rail. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find two lovely bedrooms, a king-size with fitted wardrobes and charming window seat and a 2'6" twin bedroom, also with fitted wardrobe and a window with views across Bakewell Church.

Outside is a small courtyard with seating for four guests, perfect to enjoy a coffee and some fresh air in the morning. There is one parking permit provided for one car in the lanes around the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely clean and homely cottage . We had such a great week in Bakewell. The cottage was fully equipped but although the washing machine didnt work at one point the caretakers were quick to fix the problem. Gifts on arrival and very thoughtful with the dog by buying him gifts as well . The beds comfy and the living space sufficient for us all .
