Lovely barn conversion is sat in the heart of a working dairy farm. The owners have taken great care and attention to ensure the barn provides you with everything you need for a home from home stay.

Popular Tansley village is nestled on the edge of the Peak District, next to the market town of Matlock, the perfect base to enjoy tranquillity and to explore the Peak District. Nearby Bakewell, Chatsworth and Matlock Bath are easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the cottage itself and several wonderful pubs within a five minute walk. Matlock has a large variety of shops, supermarkets, a launderette, cafes, restaurants, pubs, indoor swimming pool, weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well-known resort on the river with fish and chips, cable cars and numerous entertainment.

Step along the stepping stone path which leads into the spacious kitchen/diner. There is an electric range style oven and hob, smeg fridge, washing machine and dishwasher which provides you with everything you need for a home away from home stay. There is also a farmhouse kitchen table which is the perfect spot for a lazy breakfast. The large lounge boasts a wood burner, comfortable sofas, TV/DVD, and big glass windows to overlook the fields opposite, ideal for relaxing with a cuppa after a hard day exploring. Leading upstairs to the spacious master bedroom with original beams for character and charm and a super-king-size bed (which can be made into twin on request). The bedroom window overlooks a cattle shed and calves can be seen at certain times of the year, if you are lucky. There is a further twin bedroom (which can be made into king-size upon request). Both bedrooms feature charming stone window seats which bring the outside in. The stylish bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

To the front of the property is a gravelled area with a garden table and chairs, which lends itself as a great spot for dining alfresco. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Spent 3 days in this lovely cottage for my Hubb'ys birthday. Everything about it was superb. Hosts were welcoming, location has rural feeling but not far away from amenities. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. A beautifully converted building with all the comforts you require for a break away including fresh milk from the cows on the farm and a lovely home made cake! A short walk to the local pub is always nice and the logs for the fire were perfect for when you get back... Would highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful cottage that has been perfect for our little family. When we arrived not only was there tea and coffee but Kim had kindly baked a very yummy cake for us! We had a fabulous holiday at Rolling Mill Cottage. Located on a working dairy farm was great, my 4yr old son loved the comings and goings, and chance to see the cows and the farmers tractor. Rolling mill is a great cottage . Location is great with having the rural feel on the farm but only a few minutes drive from Matlock town . Arrived to fresh milk from the cows that day and a gorgeous home made cake. The barn has been beautifully converted and very comfortable. Kim the owner is lovely and accommodating.

A lovely house, beautifully presented and comfortable. Rolling Mill Cottage is conveniently placed for local pubs and near to Matlock which has a lot to offer. We had a great week-lots of stunning walks and a visit to nearby Chatsworth House.
