This former barn has been beautifully converted into a spacious contemporary family holiday home with original features at every turn. Located within easy walking distance of the amenities in Ashford-on-Water.

Ashford in the Water is a pretty and popular Derbyshire village, located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Sitting on the banks of the River Wye, three bridges cross this free flowing river making it an idyllic waterside setting. The village pub is welcoming and popular among locals, while you will find almost everything you need for your stay in the village shop. Walkers will enjoy setting out on the Monsal Trail, while the riverside cricket ground offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the game.

The barn entrance brings you straight into the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. The kitchen is of good size and features a wooden floor, timber units and colourful splash back tiles. The dining and sitting area has a beamed ceiling and oil-burning stove set in a traditional stone fireplace.

One single bedroom with an en suite shower room is located on this floor, making this accommodation accessible for all. Upstairs you will find the two remaining bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, stunning exposed ceiling trusses and en suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle, the other with two single beds and access to the family bathroom – perfect for children. Each bathroom has been beautifully decorated with neutral wall colours and soft pastel curtains and bed linen.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Perfect location for visiting the Peaks. Great walks straight from the cottage which was fantastic being a dog owner

Superb setting for trips to Snake Pass, walks on Monsal Trail, and swims at Chatsworth &Hathersage lido. Well equipped homely cottage with plenty of hot water. Loved the main bakery in Bakewell's fresh brown bread and Bakewell pudding.
