Located in the grounds of historic Middleton Hall, this property enjoys much of the period charm from this Gothic era. There is access to a private walled garden for alfresco dining included.

Middleton by Youlgreave is a small Peak District village in the southern heart of the national park. A five-minute drive will bring you to the farming village of Youlgreave, which boasts grocery shops, a post office and a popular pub. Follow the crystal clear River Bradford along picturesque Bradford Dale or join the beautiful Lathkill Dale walk at Over Haddon. Or, for a touch of culture, hop in the car for less than half an hour to visit historic Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall.

A tree lined drive brings you to this Victorian Gothic style building, which is entered into via a small lobby, ideal for storing boots and coats. Beyond, the spacious open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area features signature exposed trusses, a wooden floor, cream kitchen units and large dining table. A log effect stove in the corner of this room creates a cosy space in which to relax after a long day. The cottage has three bedrooms, one with a double bed that sits underneath a pretty panelled window; the other two with twin single beds and deep stone encased windows. The bedrooms share two family bathrooms, one of which has a power shower. A private walled garden at the rear of the property is the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco meal or drink.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A wonderful setting both in terms of location and ease to visit various sites in Derbyshire. The walled garden added to the location. Very peaceful.

Lovely location and property but tired and requires modernisation. No Wi-Fi and very poor mobile phone signal. Child proofing would help as beech left in toilets and cupboard under sink. Better property for older guests.

Lovely place to stay. Great walks from the village and nearby.

The Coach House was a delightful place to stay for a group of us wanting to explore the Peak Districts. Although not close to any shops or restaurants, it was peaceful and picturesque and a short drive to Bakewell! We'd recommend it to anyone! Thanks Hazel and Chris!

Good location, plenty of space and comfortable bedrooms. Some of basics in kitchen are in need of updating, but if you want a base for walking the limestone areas of Derbyshire, then this is worth cosidering

Lovely converted apartment situated above original stone stables/garage. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped; we stayed there with our two teenagers and young dog.
