Middleton by Youlgreave is a small Peak District village in the southern heart of the national park. A five-minute drive will bring you to the farming village of Youlgreave, which boasts grocery shops, a post office and a popular pub. Follow the crystal clear River Bradford along picturesque Bradford Dale or join the Limestone Way through the heart of the national park. Or, for a touch of culture, hop in the car for less than half an hour to visit historic Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall.
A tree lined drive brings you to this Victorian Gothic style building, which is entered into via a small lobby, ideal for storing boots and coats. Beyond, the spacious open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area features signature exposed trusses, a wooden floor, cream kitchen units and large dining table. A log effect stove in the corner of this room creates a cosy space in which to relax after a long day. The cottage has three bedrooms, one with a double bed that sits underneath a pretty panelled window; the other two with twin single beds and deep stone encased windows. The bedrooms share two family bathrooms, one of which has a power shower. A private walled garden at the rear of the property is the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco meal or drink.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
