Traditional two bedroom mid terrace cottage with split level garden. The property benefits from an open fire for cosy winter nights and home, and a pub within easy reach. Miles of dog walking along the nearby canal.

The cottage is located in the charming village of Buxworth and is just a stones throw from the beautifully restored Bugworth Basin next to the canal in the High Peak. When the canal was first built, it became the biggest inland port in the country, being able to moor over 100 boats. The nature and tranquillity surrounds you when meandering down the canal. Why not take a trip and explore the four show caves at Castleton, Peak Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Mine. The stunning Chatsworth House, gardens and farm shop are a short drive away. The popular towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne offer an array of shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy.

Entering the mid terrace cottage from the front of a pretty tree lined street you step into the lounge which offers a comfortable sofa and two chairs where you can relax and unwind in front of the traditional open fire which is the focal point of the room. You will find a TV/DVD, good selection of books, board games and DVDs, if the weather isn’t on your side. Walking through to the well-equipped kitchen which offers everything you may need for your stay including electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The central dining table seats two but an extra table can be added to provide snug dining for four. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one double and one king-size, and a shower room with shower and WC.

Stepping out from the kitchen you reach a small yard area. Following the steep concrete steps leads you to the peaceful enclosed elevated garden with patio, grassed area and outdoor seating for enjoying those summer evenings. Parking is roadside parking to the front of the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely dog friendly cottage in a great location. The Navigation pub is 200m away and the even better Old Hall Inn with fantastic food is a 20 minute stroll along the old and pretty tram track. Highly recommend.

Lovely little cottage in a great location. Parking is right outside the property on the road but it could be quite difficult for large cars if all the residents have cars.

We really enjoyed our stay, a number of restaurants & pubs in the neighborhood, supermarket close by. walking trails from the doorsteps, including canals and a trail to a beautiful viewpoint. The cottage felt like we were at home. it is small, but very well laid out, so it felt spacious.

A very handy location, with lots of interesting walks into the countryside and down by the canal. The canal was fascinating and had a nearby pub called ,The Navigation.
