This converted farm building has been beautifully transformed into a light and airy cottage offering a tranquil getaway in idyllic rural surroundings for couples and families in The Chilterns.

A haven for lovers of walking and the countryside. Flanked by the rolling English Chiltern Hills the cottage is situated close to the pretty town of Berkhamsted which was voted the best place to live in the South East and boasts independent shops, the renowned Art Deco Rex cinema for film buffs, cafes and restaurants along with spectacular views along the Grand Union Canal. Families will love exploring the nearby Roald Dahl Museum or the making of the Harry Potter films at the Warner Bros Studio Tours. There are many other historic houses, gardens and vineyards close by to ensure that all the family are kept entertained. With easy access to London from the local railway station, this is the perfect cottage for exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer.

The entrance to the cottage leads you into the open-plan, split-level lounge/kitchen/diner. The cottage is light and airy with many original features and exposed beams. The lounge area has two comfy sofas, TV/DVD, bluetooth speaker and wood burner. The oak dining table and four chairs are situated by the window, perfect for enjoying views of the garden and the well-appointed kitchen area which is accessed by a couple of steps has an electric oven and gas hob, combination microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and a central island breakfast bar for enjoying a morning coffee. The separate utility room offers a washing machine. There are two ground floor bedrooms, a twin with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and the master bedroom, a super-king-size with en-suite shower and WC. On the first floor is a double bedroom set in the eaves of the property with an en-suite WC.

Heading outside, there are two seating areas, a spacious secluded courtyard patio area with patio table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ, and a front garden with a bistro table and chairs. There is private parking for two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
