An idyllic, hideaway for couples found at the edge of Upper Brailes within walking distance of some fine amenities including a French bakery.

This holiday property is very cosy and comfortable. A former blacksmith’s, it is now a lovely detached cottage at the centre of Brailles village. Upper Brailes is a characterful village with some fabulous walks originating from it. Visit the village website and consult Jim’s Walks which details up to ten different circular walks – most of these walks are dog friendly. Further afield, visit Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Oxford for shopping and sightseeing, and the RSC theatre is also within reasonable driving distance. The ancient market town of Shipston-on-Stour is great for antique shops, local pubs and eateries.

On arrival at the holiday property you will find a spacious entrance hall. The lounge/kitchen/diner design embraces open-plan living. The lounge area has a comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and a wood burner to keep the room warm and cosy in the evenings. The kitchen area comes equipped with a combination oven and grill, tow electric hobs, a microwave, a fridge/freezer (inside a cupboard in the entrance hall), a small freezer box and a utility room. Use of a washing machine can be arranged. The bedroom contains a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as twin singles on request). There is an en-suite shower room with WC for convenience too.

Outside is a south-facing courtyard that can be an effective sun-trap, and is also ideal for that evening glass or two of wine, creating a great space for you to relax in the comfort of your own holiday home. There’s ample parking too. Please note due to the location of this property a car is essential.

Lovely comfortable and clean cottage in a great location made this a really enjoyable stay. The small oven with only 2 hobs makes cooking a bit of a challenge but the local pubs food is fantastic. ...so not all bad !!!

The owner was very welcoming and had left thoughtful items in the cottage for our arrival. The cottage is tastefully and comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean. It is an ideal location for touring the surrounding area. We stayed a week and intend to return.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with an enormous comfortable bed and off road parking. A great base to explore the Cotswolds from and up into Stratford upon Avon. Mrs Hart was very friendly and helpful and a lovely touch of fresh flowers, biscuits and milk to make you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

A comfortable cosy cottage - ideal for a couple on a week's break. Probably best to eat out most of the time as cooking facilities are very limited.
