We could highly recommmend Carpenters after having stayed for three and a half weeks. Our host made us feel welcome in very comfortable accommodation. We found that the converted Barn was central to so much in the Cotswolds, walking distance to Burford and a pleasant drive to Stow, Bourton on the Water, Cheltenham and many other villages

For a 6 footer the bedroom ceiling height is a little low. That minor quibble aside this well equipped and comfortable small cottage is ideal for a couple. With the Cotswold's on your doorstep and the historic city of Oxford less than an hour away there is, whatever your interests, plenty to see and do.

Just returned from a very comfortable week's stay. Little Barrington is a very quiet and pretty village. The Barn is clean, well appointed and contains a fully equipped kitchen and wet room. In the shared courtyard with the owner is a table and chairs, together with two easy chairs with thick cushions. The owner (Beth) was very friendly but not intRead morerusive. We loved getting visits from her lovely little dog. The Fox Inn (by the river) is a nice pub, located only a few hundred yards away and is acc Hide

Carpenters Barn is a small character cottage in a beautiful hamlet location. Downstairs is open plan, comfortable and fairly spacious but upstairs is quite restrictive in head height due to the beams.

This is the first time we have booked a cottage holiday and werent disappointed. Found the place fairly easily (this is Sat Nav dependant of course) and were thrilled with the location. Absolutely charming village, charming property, lovely host (Beth) with a beautiful friendly dog. Cottage is ideally situated for many Cotswold towns and attractionRead mores. Theres a local pub 10 minutes walk and another back up the hill. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hide

A fabulous cottage for a couple (and dog). In a lovely village immediately next door to the owners property. Beth the owner made us both feel extremely welcome and at home. 2 pubs for eating at within comfortable walking distance (preferred the Inn for All Seasons which was the longer of the two walks). An excellent holiday!

Lovely cottage and location. Beth the owner was lovely friendly and was like a friend. As my husband and I are over 70 and have arthritis we found bending to avoid the beams in the bedroom difficult but apart from that a wonderful place to stay.
