Close to Woodstock in the Cotswolds, this secluded, single-storey, two-bedroom property is situated on a picturesque family farm. Thoughtfully converted, it still retains much of its original character.

This comfortable holiday property is one of two at the same location. It’s the perfect bolthole for a young family to escape the city and town life deep in the heart of the English countryside. Embrace the experience by taking some peaceful walks along the footpaths, holloways and bridleways – in particular, there are several excellent walks from the nearby village of Stonesfield. The property is ideally placed for visitors wishing to explore the wider area too, for instance the academic and historical haven of Oxford, or the grand Blenheim Palace are great places for a day out. To the west are the strange and wonderful Malvern Hills. Closer to home are the local pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages.

On arrival at this single-storey property, you will notice the open-plan design of the communal area. The lounge/diner/kitchen is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, a TV/DVD and dining table seating for four. There are French doors that open out on to the gardens. The kitchen is at the rear of the room and adopts a large triangular shape. It comes complete with an electric oven and hob, a washing machine, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. Along the hallway are the two bedrooms; the first is a double with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, whilst the next bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as twin singles. This bedroom also has its own en-suite shower room.

The lounge area’s French doors open to a private, enclosed courtyard garden with suntrap patio, garden furniture provided. There is ample off-road parking too.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage, nice welcome with vase of flowers, bowl of fruit, cake, biscuits and even a bottle of fizz. Well equipped and very clean. Really good as all on one level with a pretty garden and sunny patio.

Lovely welcome to the property with prosecco, biscuits, tea bags & milk! Also shower gel and toilet rolls provided for our whole stay which was helpful. Mattress was slightly lumpy but brilliant shower more than made up for it!

Cottage situated just outside a village with access to many public footpaths in a lovely rural area suitable for dog walking. Owners live next door so were able to quickly fix any issues we had. Well equipped, but the fabric of the cottage looks quite tired and in need of some TLC. Ideal for a small family with children as there is access to the owRead moreners' children's play area through a gate in the fence. Not so good for a couple of elderly ladies looking for a quiet retreat! Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage, all on one level and ideal for the less mobile, well-equipped and with a private garden. In a rural location but with easy access to Woodstock, Oxford and other Cotswold tourist attractions. We'd definitely stay there again.

Although property needed a little maintenance (ie varnishing of doors and windows and new toilet seat), nothing major, overall it was clean and comfortable and a quiet spot for the two of us and our collie.
