Close to Woodstock in the Cotswolds, this secluded, single-storey, two-bedroom property is situated on a picturesque family farm. Thoughtfully converted, it still retains much of its original character.

This comfortable holiday property is one of two at the same location. It’s the perfect bolthole for a young family to escape the city and town life deep in the heart of the English countryside. Embrace the experience by taking some peaceful walks along the footpaths, holloways and bridleways – in particular, there are several excellent walks from the nearby village of Stonesfield. The property is ideally placed for visitors wishing to explore the wider area too, for instance the academic and historical haven of Oxford, or the grand Blenheim Palace are great places for a day out. To the west are the strange and wonderful Malvern Hills. Closer to home are the local pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages.

On arrival at this single-storey property, you will notice the open-plan design of the communal area. The lounge/diner/kitchen is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, a TV/DVD and dining table seating for four. There are French doors that open out on to the gardens. The kitchen is at the rear of the room and adopts a large triangular shape. It comes complete with an electric oven and hob, a washing machine, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. Along the hallway are the two bedrooms; the first is a double with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, whilst the next bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as twin singles. This bedroom also has its own en-suite shower room.

The lounge area’s French doors open to a private, enclosed courtyard garden with suntrap patio, garden furniture provided. There is ample off-road parking too.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

This is a delightful cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds, ideal for visiting the delights of Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Charlbury and many more places of interest. Both bedrooms are large and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms (one with grab rails in the shower - ideal for an elderly relative). The lounge is bright and airy and the kitchen area, Read morealthough compact, is well equipped. Numerous walks start from the property, which for a dog owner is ideal. Hide

Although property needed a little maintenance (ie varnishing of doors and windows and new toilet seat), nothing major, overall it was clean and comfortable and a quiet spot for the two of us and our collie. The Cotswolds were within easy reach and it was ideal for our visit to Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace which was literally a couple of mileRead mores up the road. Hide

This cottage could be lovely. It just comes across as unloved. A shame. The bathrooms are not nice and desperatly need refurbishing. The main bathroom had a split in the wooden toilet seat that looked like it had been there for years. Very unhygienic . The tiles and shower head in the shower room need a good clean. There was a hole behind the toileRead moret stuffed with newspaper . No idea why. We left early. Hide
