Inviting, three-bedroom terraced house with lovely garden, close to the centre of popular market town of Chipping Norton. Perfect for a family break.

This cottage is well-situated, just a short, level walk into the centre of Chipping Norton to a good selection of shops, wine bars, pubs (some dog friendly), restaurants and a theatre. There is a good bus service from the town into Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon or to Banbury. Catch a train from Kingham to London Paddington for a day out in the capital. Chipping Norton itself has a fascinating history which can be delved into at the local museum. There are lots of places of historical interest, namely St Mary's Church and The Alms Houses. Lovely walks close to the property include one to Pool Meadow and the fields beyond where there are fabulous views across to Over Norton.

After entering through the useful lobby, you will find the spacious open plan lounge with ample comfortable seating, a cosy wood burner, and a TV/DVD with Freeview, hi-fi and iPod dock. The kitchen area comes equipped with a gas oven and hob, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a fridge/freezer. There is also a WC on the ground floor. Upstairs on the first floor are two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, all of which are light and airy, making relaxing retreats to retire to at the end of a long day. The bathroom contains a shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a small enclosed garden to the front, and a large enclosed space to the rear of the property, with a patio and lawn area, as well as a BBQ for al fresco dining in the summer. The garden furniture completes the picture making it a great place to unwind after a long day’s touring. Please note, the rear garden is not attached to the house and is accessed via steep stone steps.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Road is noisy as others have pointed out but one gets used to it after a couple of nights. Back garden lovely but as you point out the steps are steep, so our dog managed a couple of times but we then took to walking him around the block where there are green spaces, so not an issue.

My daughter and I stayed in Tukes Cottage at the end of May. It is an extremely lovely home, clean, well equipped and in an excellent location, being only 1 minute walk into the High Street of Chipping Norton. It also has a super, large garden. The bus stop is only a minuet's walk away from which you can go into Oxford and Blenheim Palace. The parkRead moreing instructions were spot on. Couldn't recommend Tukes Cottage highly enough. Hide

Loved my holiday at this cottage. Garden is lovely accessed by some steep steps. It is on a busy road so I choose the back bedroom. Owners left a lovely welcome treat for us and also the dog which was kind.

The cottage had everything we needed, and more. Very central to town. We loved it. A real home away from home

Extremely nice cottage. Absolutely everything you need for a home from home. There are some lovely decorations, unusual but really nice. Owner most accommodating and had a little welcome for us and our dog. Thank you Karen highly recommended.
