Well placed and just 6 miles from Shrewsbury the ancient medieval market town of Shropshire which is brimming with over 600 listed buildings including the castle and world-famous Abbey. Church Stretton an excellent base for the country lover and sportsman alike with walking and cycling for all abilities. For enthusiastic golfers The Shreswbury Golf Club is just 2 miles away. Much Wenlock a stunningly beautiful historic town, birthplace of the modern Olympian movement and many unique shops, tea rooms, a 12th century priory and museum. National Trust properties to include Chirk and Powis Castles, Erddig and Attingham Park with beautiful grounds and gardens.

On entering the property, you will find a lounge with TV and DVD player. Also, on the ground level there is a kitchen/diner which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer with the added benefit of a utility room with washing machine and separate WC. On the first floor you will find 2 bedrooms 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with TV and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC and 1 twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a king-size on request) with TV and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside benefits from a patio area with garden furniture. There is off-road parking for 2 cars. 1 dog welcome.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

It is a lovely cottage , excellently equipped with all one needs. Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds, lovely large bathrooms. It was a pleasure to return to after a long day sightseeing. The owner left the best welcome tray I've ever seen with lots of goodies, cake, eggs, bread, butter, milk tea and coffee. Excellent property on all fronts. We would definitely come again. Good location . friendly hosts who kept an appropriate distance. Lovely welcome - milk, bread, cake came in handy after a snowy start. We do a lot of self catering and for us this was probably the best of places we have stayed in.

Great New Year break! Cottage was ideal for 4 addults and 1 dog. Very clean and comfortable stay with a nice pub within a short walk from the cottage.

This was a lovely place to stay, very homley, well thought out and equipt. There are lots of places to visit locally. The only slight downside were the stone floors downstairs as we had a crawling baby and were worried about him falling over on the stone floor. This was a personal anxiety however and no way a negative or criticism of the property.

An amazing property. I can't thank Anne and her family enough. They made us so welcome and had left a lovely hamper for us on arrival. It had everything you need to get started after a long journey. Tea, Coffee, Cake, Bread, Eggs. It was a nice touch. The cottage was so clean and had all the equipment you would find in your own home. But the added Read morebonus is that dogs are allowed. Its so hard finding somewhere nice that allows dogs. Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage in good location for exploring the beautiful scenery of Shropshire and the Welsh Borders. Friendly helpful host (next door). Would definitely recommend.
