Single storey property, enjoying a secluded rural location in the Shropshire Hills, making an ideal retreat for a couple wishing to get away from the stresses of daily life.

This property’s tranquil rural location makes it especially suitable for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of their daily routine. The Stiperstones Ridge, a five-mile long quartzite ridge can be seen from the property, and makes a wonderful place to enjoy a quiet country walk with stunning views. The market town of Bishops Castle lies just nine miles away, and offers a modest range of shops, as well as being the location for several interesting annual events including a walking festival, Michaelmas Fair, and a Real Ale Festival. Other, larger towns in the area, which are always popular with visitors include Shrewsbury (17 miles away), and the foodie haven of Ludlow (24 miles away).

A ramp leads to the front door of this homely single-storey property, beyond which the front door opens into the open-plan living area, which comprises a lounge/kitchen/diner. At the heart of the room, the warming wood burner provides a lovely focal point and, of course, keeps the room lovely and cosy in the cooler months of the years. The comfortable sofas are arranged so that guests can enjoy the warmth, as well as relax in front of the TV and DVD. The dining table seats four people, beyond which the kitchen area is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with a freezer box, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The bedroom, is a welcoming double room with an en-suite shower and WC. (Please note that there is a step of approximately 27cm in the shower).

Outside, the old farmyard makes for a charming seating area from which to enjoy the tranquillity of the property’s surroundings, and a table and chairs are provided. There is ample off-road parking just in front of the property.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cottage in a very scenic area. Dog friendly and lots of walks, also lots of places to visit. We were given a very warm welcome and enjoyed our stay, a couple of cool evenings gave us the perfect excuse to light the wood burner. Lovely place for a quiet break
