Stone studio bothy with hot tub set in 43 acres, on working sheep farm on the Welsh borders. Idyllic spot to relax, enjoy activities and discover the best countryside and culture in Powys.

Set in a designated Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, with uninterrupted countryside views. Located in Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns Ludlow and Knighton, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. Roam the 43 acres of grounds and join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail, Offa’s Dyke or one of the many footpaths and cycle routes to discover the majestic Welsh countryside and rolling Shropshire Hills. The area offers a plethora of activities, eateries, independent shops, museums and galleries. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The National Cycle Museum and many National Trust properties to name but a few of the attractions.

The property has been lovingly refurbished in 2017. This quirky, compact and cosy studio style accommodation is a modestly converted bothy with beautiful exposed beams, unique windows and interesting features. The building is small, at 17 feet x 11 feet, but packs in all that you need for a comfortable stay. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area has a comfortable single day bed with additional single pull out bed and a folding table and chairs which are just perfect for breakfast or a game of cards or watch the TV/DVD or listen to music on the docking station. On colder evenings enjoy the glow from the wood burner effect electric fire. The creatively designed kitchen area has a small electric hob, microwave/convection oven and fridge with lovely views towards the stream and rolling countryside. The shower room has a shower and WC and dry off with fluffy towels as you plan your day’s activities.

Outside the front door, the private hot tub is waiting for you, alongside the table and chairs and BBQ to enjoy alfresco dining. Private parking for two cars is available at the property. A shared Pump House has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bicycle and canoe store is available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The Bothy was a great experience after having stayed in Tack Cottage in September, same spectacular views, walks & the facilities give everything you need with Dave & Jenny happy to go the extra to make the whole experience the best, so good we booked again.

We spent a wonderful week in Tack Bothy. Yes it's small but what it lacks in space it more than makes up for in breathtaking views and compete peace & quiet. We were made to feel to welcome by Jenny & Dave and, most importantly, it was doggy heaven for our Stabyhoun, who very comfortably fitted into the cottage with us.

The location was absolutely gorgeous - the heatwave helped! The bothy itself is tiny. But it is so well designed that it didn't feel cramped at all (and we're neither of us small people). The facilities are first rate - I was impressed by the number of plug sockets. The shower was great and the hot tub a real luxury. Plenty to see and do in the areRead morea. We enjoyed the nearby SpaceGuard centre and had day trips to Aberystwith and Hay on Wye. I would certainly recommend this cottage to others. Hide

My partner and I had a fantastic relaxing holiday with our Frenchie Louie. Jenny the owner was amazing and attentive and the locals were friendly. This quirky compact bothy has eveything you need for your stay. Its done out to a high standard. The shower is excellent and lovely fluffy towels too! The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely gesture. There is even dog biscuits for your 4 legged buddy! The hot tub is perfect after a days walk. Tack Bothy is an ideal place if you want to get away from the rat race. The Bothy is cosy and warm. Very homely. Plus the hot tub is amazing looking out over the hills. Lovely place. Recharged the batteries. Owners are lovely. A very nice welcome pack was in the Bothy when we arrived.
