Stone studio bothy with hot tub set in 43 acres, on working sheep farm on the Welsh borders. Idyllic spot to relax, enjoy activities and discover the best countryside and culture in Powys.

Set in a designated Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, with uninterrupted countryside views. Located in Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns Ludlow and Knighton, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. Roam the 43 acres of grounds and join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail, Offa’s Dyke or one of the many footpaths and cycle routes to discover the majestic Welsh countryside and rolling Shropshire Hills. The area offers a plethora of activities, eateries, independent shops, museums and galleries. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The National Cycle Museum and many National Trust properties to name but a few of the attractions.

The property has been lovingly refurbished in 2017. This quirky, compact and cosy studio style accommodation is a modestly converted bothy with beautiful exposed beams, unique windows and interesting features. The building is small, at 17 feet x 11 feet, but packs in all that you need for a comfortable stay. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area has a comfortable single day bed with additional single pull out bed and a folding table and chairs which are just perfect for breakfast or a game of cards or watch the TV/DVD or listen to music on the docking station. On colder evenings enjoy the glow from the wood burner effect electric fire. The creatively designed kitchen area has a small electric hob, microwave/convection oven and fridge with lovely views towards the stream and rolling countryside. The shower room has a shower and WC and dry off with fluffy towels as you plan your day’s activities.

Outside the front door, the private hot tub is waiting for you, alongside the table and chairs and BBQ to enjoy alfresco dining. Private parking for two cars is available at the property. A shared Pump House has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bicycle and canoe store is available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Bothy was fantastic and the pictures of the view didnt do it justice. The hot tub is completely private, looking out to the Welsh countryside - very relaxing! The Bothy is small but it has everything you need and there was plenty of room for our Golden Retriever. The owners have thought of everything including spare towels and dressing gowns foRead morer the hot tub and a supply of games, dvds and books which was above and beyond. What a place! Such a tranquil, cute and cosy little place with beautiful views and lots of walking routes to choose from. Only a short walk across the fields from a little shop and pub which was wonderful. Our hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable, we didnt want to go home!

We had the perfect peaceful weekend, in the middle of the countryside it was beautiful, views were fab and Jenny (the owner) was more than happy to help in any way, they had thought if everything for the little cottage and even board games which was a lovely for fun without technology (even though there is WiFi) defiantly recommend!! What a fantastic place. We have come home feeling completely refreshed and revitalised. The attention to detail and lovely additions from the owner made us feel so welcomed and at home instantly. The perfect spot for an intrepid explorer who also likes home comforts and a hot tub. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back!

What a wonderful stay we have had. Arrived to beautiful scenery and our lovely cottage. Cosy and sweet , we were welcomed into our warm cottage by Dave who made us feel so welcome. We spent a wonderful week in Tack Bothy. Yes it's small but what it lacks in space it more than makes up for in breathtaking views and compete peace & quiet. We were made to feel to welcome by Jenny & Dave and, most importantly, it was doggy heaven for our Stabyhoun, who very comfortably fitted into the cottage with us.

The location was absolutely gorgeous - the heatwave helped! The bothy itself is tiny. But it is so well designed that it didn't feel cramped at all (and we're neither of us small people). The facilities are first rate - I was impressed by the number of plug sockets. The shower was great and the hot tub a real luxury. Plenty to see and do in the areRead morea. This quirky compact bothy has eveything you need for your stay. Its done out to a high standard. The shower is excellent and lovely fluffy towels too! The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely gesture. There is even dog biscuits for your 4 legged buddy! The hot tub is perfect after a days walk.
