Grade II listed barn conversion situated on the owner’s working farm in the Herefordshire countryside, just a short drive from the popular town of Ludlow.

This property enjoys a fantastic location within 135-acres of farmland, beyond which there is miles of beautiful countryside to be explored and enjoyed. Bircher Common is within walking distance of the property, giving access onto the Mortimer Trail: a 30-mile walking trail taking in the best of the Shropshire and Herefordshire countryside. Also within walking distance is the pretty village of Orleton, where visitors will find two welcoming pubs, ideal for a quick pint or perhaps a hearty pub lunch. The National Trust property of Croft Castle is just a few miles away, a stunning manor house surrounded by 1500 acres of grounds. For those who enjoy sampling the local food, the town of Ludlow is just a short drive away and offers a wide range of restaurants specialising in local food, as well as the annual food festival.

On entering this Grade II listed property, guests will find themselves in the upper-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its attractive beamed ceilings, large corner sofa, and dining table. The kitchen area is well-equipped with everything that guests will need including 2 oven's, hob, microwave, and dishwasher, whilst the washer/dryer can be found housed in a separate utility room. Taking the stairs to the lower floor, there are two of the property’s bedrooms: the first of these is a super-king size room which can be made up as a twin on request, and benefits from an en-suite shower room and WC. The second room on this floor is a king-size room, again with an en-suite shower and WC. Both of these bedrooms have their own TV and DVD, as do the two further bedrooms which are located downstairs on the bottom floor. The first of the rooms on this floor is a super-king which can be made up as a twin on request, and has an en-suite shower room with WC, whilst the final room contains a super-size bed (that can be made as a twin upon request) with an en-suite bathroom offering a shower-over-bath and WC. There is also a convenient separate WC situated on the property’s middle floor.

There is plenty of outside space with this property, not only the 135 acres of farmland, but also the garden which has a spacious terrace with garden furniture which easily accommodates eight guests or 10 guests if you book the Parlour next door, whether they want to enjoy alfresco drinks in the evening or take their meals outside. There is off-road parking provided and there is the possibility for guests to stable their own horses should they so wish, at an additional charge via arrangement with the owner.

Very comfortable accommodation with excellent facilities in a beautiful area. For a group of 8 such as us it was absolutely ideal with the town of Ludlow very nearby. All facilities and utensils were perfect and having an en-suite for each bedroom was brilliant.

Visiting other propeties we have had to take extras like cling-film, dishwasher tablets, even tea towels. The Barn near Ludlow had eveything provided. mazingly well equipped.

Lovely holiday cottage. The quality was just as shown on the website and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly including the farm dogs. Far enough out in the countryside so be away from it all however near to both Ludlow and Leominster. Will hopefully return.

You could stay in a better place. The barn is amazing and the people they are great. Girls loved every minute, ages 12, 5 and 2. Lots of space, and very comfortable. Could recommend this place enough.

The children particularly enjoyed being around so many friendly animals & we were always felt that they were safe to roam the grounds. A family gathering, 4 "siblings plus spouses", on a pre-Christmas get-together. I think this was the 8th time we have met thus; all were in agreement that the combination of location, en-suite bedrooms and a very well-equipped house will be hard to beat. A friendly welcome, any extra kit needed readily to hand, amiable dogs for the dog lovers to scRead morehmooze with; we all had a great time! If we can persuade the London-dwelling pair to book a day off and leave early on the Friday (they had a bad experience of the M40) I think we'll be back.... Hide

We enjoyed our week with you so much. We were sad to leave,there was everything we needed inThe Barn. All the best quality bedding crockery toileteries etc and a lovely cake waiting for us. the boys loved the farm. Mary took them with her at feed time a few times. The boys loved the dogs. Would recommend it to anybody. I will give it 10+out of 10.
