Single-storey property situated on the owner’s working farm on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border, just a few miles from the popular town of Ludlow.

This property boasts a wonderfully rural location on the owner’s 135-acre farm, set in rolling countryside on the border of Shropshire and Herefordshire. There are many miles of scenic walks to be enjoyed direct from the property’s front door, with Bircher Common being just a short walk away, giving access to the 30-mile-long Mortimer Trail, which stretches from Ludlow to Kington. The town of Ludlow is itself, a wonderful place to explore, with its fine medieval ruined castle, interesting historic buildings, and its well-deserved reputation as a foodie favourite. Other attractions in the area include the 1000-year old Croft Castle, West Midlands Safari Park, and the towns of Hay-on-Wye, Leominster, and Tenbury Wells.

A ramp leads guests to the front door of this barn conversion property, which opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here guests will find a comfortable sofa, and a dining table, alongside the TV/DVD. The kitchen area, running along one side of the room provides everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A short corridor leads guests past the cloakroom with WC, to the bedroom, a restful space with a super-king size bed which can be made up as a twin room on request. The en-suite wet room contains a shower and WC.

Outside, two steps lead to the private decked terrace, which is accessed via the living area. The owners have provided garden furniture, including reclining chairs, making this a great place to relax and enjoy the pleasantly tranquil surroundings and views across the farm. There is off-road parking provided.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Absolutely perfect for what we were after a quiet location with glorious walks in the country but also close to Ludlow. The cottage, though, was more than we expected beautifully thought-through, warm and inviting (not to mention having the most comfortable beds we have slept in for *ages*!). The owners are brilliant, too friendly and great at cRead moreommunicating. Hide

One of the best appointed cottages we have stayed in. The owner was very helpful.

Cottage was absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm and comfortable. It was clean and tidy with everything needed for a great stay and located in a fabulous location, very quiet and peaceful. The owners of the cottage were around if needed and were friendly and helpful but didn't intrude on the holiday. Will definitely be making a return visit.
