A delightful rural property nestled at the end of a lane surrounding Butterton Moor, offering spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape, with some of the area’s best attractions just a short drive away.

Located in a rural setting with delightful countryside views, this property is great for those wishing to explore the Peak District National Park and attractions. A short drive away from the barn are the traditional market towns of Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell where you can spend a few hours browsing independent shops or grab a bite to eat in one of the many cafes offering homemade local food. The historical town of Buxton is only a short drive away too, or if you fancy hitting a theme park, Alton Towers is great for a fun filled day out. Outdoor enthusiasts must explore the Peak District National Park with its opportunities for activities including cycling, climbing, kayaking and more.

The accommodation is a secluded barn conversion with a spacious kitchen/diner that is equipped with all the essentials for creating a delicious meal for the family. With a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and the stone fireplace with dual aspect woodburner in the spacious lounge, the property is full of character and charm. A sofa bed which sleeps two for occasional use can also be found in the lounge. Upstairs the corridor landing is stylish with sloped ceiling, sky light windows and glass panelling which leads to the two bedrooms and bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed, sloped ceilings and charming exposed beams. The second bedroom has two single beds and the country style exposed beams also. The spacious bathroom has a bath, shower and a WC.

There is a small grass and gravelled area outside with seating and a BBQ that’s perfect for al fresco dining. Off road parking and bicycle storage can also be found and welcomes two dogs to join guests at an extra cost.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We love this cottage! It is slightly off the beaten track so it feels like you are living in the middle of nowhere. Our children were very at home here and we all enjoyed the spacious and comfortable living accommodation. The log burner kept us exceptionally warm and cosy. This is an great cottage in a wonderful location. Very comfortable and well equipped. The track to the cottage isn't to long but it does need to be driven with care. The only downside to the cottage was the water supply. It smelt and tasted very strongly of copper,even in the shower, and we really could not drink it. Also it was brown in colour witRead moreh a lot of sediment. We bought bottled water to drink and also a filter for hot drinks and cooking. Also the wifi was extremely slow. Hide

Wonderful property. Warm and very clean. Easy to find and only a short track to property- not suitable for low cars. Really quiet property and some great views from outside. Comfy beds and good shower and well equipped kitchen. Well situated to explore surrounding area.

A little shocked at the length of the drive to the barn but WOW worth the drive lovely views. Once inside the barn itself we were welcomed with a bottle of wine! There is loads of space, a very well appointed kitchen everything you need. Two spacious bedrooms on the upper floor along with a beautiful bathroom. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The standard of the build is very good and to a high standard. everything you need a good base to travel from.Wedgwood factory recommend for a day out, as is hartington village and the George pub for food. Limited outside space no real garden to relax in and wouldn't recommend the track down .

Lovely spacious cottage with beautiful scenic surroundings. The only down fall for us was that there were not many pubs in walking distance and no shops, we had to drive out every day and the day we did go for a long walk to a pub it was closed in the day.

This cottage is in a quiet and secluded location but still very accessible to the town of Leek and Peak District Village Trails, an ideal location for people who enjoy walking. After our days out we particularly enjoyed relaxing evenings in the lounge with the wood burner ablaze making it very cosy.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, ticks all the boxes. Remote location, peaceful and idyllic. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Would definitely stay again, it's a must.
