This chapel conversion offers a unique escape for anyone looking for a taste of country life. The property is perfect for families and small groups.

This property sits in a charming rural position, acting as an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District National Park. Nearby, Dovedale is popular with walkers wanting to enjoy the stunning views or for those looking to exercise their legs a little more, the cycling trails of Tissington and Manifold are right on the doorstep. Located just a few miles from the property, Hartington has all the necessary local amenities including a pub, restaurants and shops.

Stepping inside the property leads you straight through to the stylish kitchen which is well-equipped and offers everything you need for a home away from home stay, an electric oven and electric induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is a handy utility room with a washing machine and a beautiful stable door letting the light flood in. Just off the utility room is a shower room with shower and WC. The beautiful open-plan lounge/diner is the heart of the house, with huge character windows and handcrafted wood features throughout. The lounge area has a TV/DVD and sumptuous sofas to relax on in front of the beautiful wood burner and in the dining area there is a dining table which will seat the whole family for dinner. The stunning huge church door can be seen throughout this room and is a real feature within the property, even the walk upstairs is beautiful with the wooden staircase leading to the landing. On this floor there is a double bedroom with a striking circle feature window and built-in wardrobes providing ample hanging space. The next bedroom is a single room with feature church windows. The third bedroom has a spacious king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request). The bathroom has a walk in shower, bath and WC.

Outside is a small courtyard space with seating to relax and take in the village life after a day’s exploring.  There is also use of a small paddock, great for kids to play in.  There is ample off-road parking.

The chapel has been beautifully converted using a high standard of fixtures and is spacious but cosy, with lovely neutral decor. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of storage space and is very practical. The location is superb for walking and cycling and is very peaceful (apart from the expected farm noises which add to the ambience!) one Read moreof the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Hide

The converted chapel was lovely and had everything we needed. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a delicious Victoria sponge. It was the perfect base for a relaxing getaway. Would highly recommend it.

Beautifully renovated chapel offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. It is very well equipped with comfortable seating and beds. It is ideal for two couples. We had pretty awful weather and returning to the chapel always felt very welcoming. There is a pub/restaurant in walking distance and the food was very good - minor drawback is that iRead moret isnt always open! A truly fabulous holiday property. The chapel has been converted, furnished, and equipped to a very high standard. Great location with walks from the door. Wonderful quirky pub ( The Staffordshire Knot) just a few yards up the road, with terrific food. Pub has odd opening hours so do ring to check.

A lovely well presented house, open plan 1st floor allows whoever is cooking to not be isolated. the conversion from the Chapel has retained many original features making it a very interesting place to stay. Warm thanks to the underfloor heating and should things need warming up the wood burner is fantastic.

The Chapel is a really thoughtful, modern conversion of a former Wesleyan chapel which has clearly been a labour of love. The location is great with brilliant access to all the key areas of the Peak District. The property has everything we needed and the owners are really friendly. All in all a wonderful stay!

This is a comfortable and beautifully renovated cottage. It is well situated to explore the Peak District, including Buxton and Bakewell, as well as having a number of lovely walks from the door.

The property was stunning. A definate wow factor from the minure you open the doors. Great views overlooking the farm,fields. Lovely watching the cows/ calves and chickens wandering around. Beds were comfy. A fab home from home. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas so a great base to use and go off and explore. Would recommend Bakewell anRead mored a visit to Chatsworth house was a fave. We visited Speedwell Cavern and Peak cavern,which we enjoyed thoroughly. Hired bikes on Monsal trail. Hide
