This traditional country cottage is tucked away on the northern edge of the scenic Cotswolds, perfect for exploring the area’s beautiful landscapes and chocolate-box villages.

Set in the sleepy hamlet of Buckland, this 400 year old property is located on the northern edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this traditional cottage is the perfect base for exploring the area’s famous scenery. The property is also located next to a 14th century cemetery which adds to the hamlet's character. Picturesque towns and villages such as Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold, decorated with honey-coloured buildings, are all within a short drive. The nearest town is Chipping Camden, home to an attractive high street and a heritage from the Arts and Crafts movement. From the doorstep you can also head out on numerous walks and bike rides and take in the views of the Cotswolds’ famous rolling hills and gentle valleys.

Upon stepping into the house, you’ll be greeted by the stone-flagged entrance hall. Off to the left of this hall is the utility area, with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a wet room with a rain shower and toilet. To the right of the hallway and down a single step is the charming open-plan kitchen/diner. This light and airy traditional kitchen is the heart of the home, featuring a double oven, induction hob, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer (tucked away in the old-fashioned pantry). Over in the dining area, the dining table comfortably seats six, and is well-positioned next to the wood burner, set within a gorgeous inglenook fireplace (initial supply of logs provided). Head from the kitchen up a small step to the large living area, again boasting its own inglenook fireplace and wood burner. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas next to the fireplace or relax with the Smart TV, iPod dock or selection of books and games provided. Stairs from the living room lead up to the first floor, where the property’s three bedrooms can be found: a master king size bedroom, with  wood burner which is for decoration only, and one double and one single bedroom. The family bathroom, with a bath and toilet, can also be found on this floor. This property is not suitable for those with restricted mobility.

Gardens space surrounds the entire cottage, but to the rear of the property is the large private garden, laid to lawn with a small patio area, seating and BBQ, perfect for dining al fresco. To the front of the cottage there is also a lively brook which only adds to the surrounding countryside scenery. Parking is available on the driveway, and there is also extra parking space to the rear of the cottage.

Otherwise the perfect english cottage with no less than 3 log fire places. Generally well heated and well equipped with high end crockery, bedding, towel robes etc and the bag of local goodies (eg Cotswold butter) was a quaint touch.

Buckland Cottage was the most beautiful cottage if you could imagine your perfect cottage in the Cotswolds, this would be it! The garden was so beautiful, the little village was quiet and picturesque, and the walking and countryside was wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped for any cooking. It was just wonderful being there!

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was in a beautiful location, and was a real home from home. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly wish for. A truly magical place, and we would love to return. Thank you to Sheepskin for great service, we will definitely use you again.

We really loved Buckland Cottage, it was peaceful with beautiful gardens. The house was beautifully decorated and well kitted out. We loved the fact that the basics were covered such as a decent shower, feather pillows and blackout blinds, home from home..We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
